It works on root:ed U8100 for sure... But there are a lot less netfilter options turned on in the pulse mini kernel so there may be something missing that tethering needs.

Thinking of buying one of these for my Girlfriend but both wireless and wired tether are a must. If either doesn't work then I will have to look at something else.

I've tried and managed to get a connection using Barnacle Legacy (the older version). This will allow my Ipad to receive Email but not send. Also I get an error message and the link drops when I try to access websites. So basically, no it doesn't work, which is very annoying as I bought the phone specifically for tethering.

And as I said, before, it works on the U8100 but the pulse mini kernel does not have this option enabled:

CONFIG_NETFILTER_XT_MATCH_STATE=y

The U8100 and U8120 kernel however does and the ancroid-wifi-tether needs this.

So I suppose other wifi tethering solutions may also need this in the kernel? And if they do then they will fail on pulse mini (with the default kernel).
