Guest shawn0 Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 In the three months Ive been with giffgaff I've only put £10 on yet have had £30 applied through sending others sim cards. If you dont mind changing ur number you could send yourself sims with £5 on each . So a third off! :-)
Guest jsplace Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 (edited) Anyone fancy sending me a sim with the £5 on please? PM me if you can. Thanks EDIT: Now done, many thanks :) Edited October 13, 2010 by jsplace
Guest WillDroid Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 Has anyone successfully sent or recieved a MMS message yet? I'm not having any luck with the settings provided on their community forum.

Guest mike557 Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Dont know about that 100mb limit! I dont have a goodybag and get the Free internet and I was sat outside a supermarket last week and downloaded a full episode of "Ideal" from iplayer via myplayer and that was 125mb. There is a limit which GG monitor. If you don't abuse the system they seem to let things slip. 100M is not for downloading movies or streaming for that you should have a goodybag. If you want 'free' web and email then 100M per day should be fine. I hope they extend the free internet beyond the 1st of December (they have extended it many times already) as this does make them great value. If anyone wants a sim, it is best to ask me (or any other gg member) to send a sim out as you get another £5 credit when you top up with £10 - they also pay me for sending the sim :) So with £15 credit (£10 spend) you could currently buy the Labs Goodybag for £5 and use the £10 credit for calls at 2p and texts at 1p. Meaning either 500 calls or 1000 texts or any mixture plus UNLIMITED internet. The goodybags only last a month but your credit is ongoing.

Guest lordofangels Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 Don't take this the wrong way, but would you give your name, email and address to a total stranger? giffgaff has changed the referal system now. All you do now is click a link like the one in my sig. No details are given to me, it goes straight through to giffgaff.

Guest That-Guy Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 I am using my San Francisco on the GiffGaff Network and it works perfect. The settings you need for GiffGaff Internet and MMS are as follows: Press the Menu key Tap Settings Tap Wireless & networks Tap Mobile networks Tap Access Point Names Tap a giffgaff APN (if there are no APNs go to 10) Press the Menu key Tap Delete APN Repeat 6, 7 and 8 until no giffgaff APNs remain Tap the Menu key Tap New APN Tap Name then tap the text box and enter giffgaff then tap OK Tap APN then tap the text box and enter giffgaff.com then tap OK Tap Username then tap the text box and enter giffgaff then tap OK Tap Password then tap the text box and enter password then tap OK Tap MMSC then tap the text box and enter http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002 then tap OK Tap MMS proxy then tap the text box and enter 193.113.200.195 then tap OK Tap MMS port then tap the text box and enter 8080 then tap OK Tap MCC then tap the text box and enter 234 then tap OK Tap MNC then tap the text box and enter 10 then tap OK Press the Menu key Tap Save Tap the circle next to giffgaff so a green dot appears. Press the Back key four times to return to the home screen. Turn you phone off and back on again Hope this helps :)

(or maybe it gets more payback because it pulls in referrals? ;P) As someone who never uses MMS I would go for the giffgaffapn app every time - can be downloaded from the market over wifi :)

That button made my MMS work when the first didn't :) Edited December 11, 2010 by targetbsp
