yeah I know I must have done it, can't remember doing so.

what i also can't work out is how to insert the banners they have there into forum signatures, all I get is mess when i do it when really I want it pointing to this link

you have to top up £10 mate, thats the minimum for referral bonus. the free internet is until feb 28. it may possibly be extended after that point. it has been extended a few times now, partially because they havent perfected the billing system for it, best deal at the moment is the 'hokey kokey' goodbag

It should be a simple matter of going to "spread giffgaff", then "giffgaff banners", choose the banner you want and it will take you to a screen with the HTML needed for the banner. You copy the whole of the code, go to the community, into "my community settings", then "personal information" and paste it into the signature box. Try it without putting anything else in (no other text) first to check it works - a few times it's tried to reformat it when I've added extra stuff and messed with the code that was already there.

Used that but my MMS never worked so had to enter settings manually :)

Was a bit put off using the giffgaffapn after reading this but thought I'd give it a go. It worked fine.

So it's worth giving it a go. if you have problems then can always do it manually then.

Yep worth trying, depends what settings you use in the GiffGaff APN I guess :)

I don't understand why some settings have the proxy, and others do not. I've never used it and its always been fine!

If you are having problems with your GG sim connecting to the APN , then check with GG to ensure you do not have a databar on your account.

Some GG sims are sent out with Databar's on them - normally takes 24hours to remove, you need to raise a question through your account to get it taken off.

Bit daunting for new members there mind Bro,

Yes Agents responces can take 24 hours,

but the quickest way to sort the data bar is,

go on the giffgaff forum and PM a staff member, they will remove the data bar within a few minutes.

I see, I had no such problem I thought they were totally functional once the first top up went in.
