Hi, new to forums!

I have had a Acer Liquid S100 (A1) passed to me that has had some type of failed update or software change

I've no idea what has been done to it for it to be in the states its in but I'm hoping that some here will know and will be able to help me solve the issue with it

Problems

Wont boot in to Android (shows Acer and Android screen then the screen stays black)

Using the controls - vol - cam and power I get this:

(with usb connected)

Partition checksum

splash1:chksum =8ba9da08 OK

boot:chksum=338dd7f1 !=001ed108 **fail**

recovery:chksum=2b8b7b4b !=00216b18 **fail**

system:chksum =f599c9d0 OK

========

<<FAIL>>

(without usb connected)

it took me to the recovery mode and I tried the restore Nandroid backup and it says:

Restore Nandroid backup...KO

Error performing restore! try running 'nandroid mobile.sh --restore' from console.

The recovery.log says

I can't get my pcs (xp and win 7) to see the phone at all, I know now the issue is because of superboot and an attempted rooting, can the phone be flashed from the MicroSD card while in recovery mode?

Have now managed to get a menu type screen up (boot screen?)

black background with a white 'streaking' line across the top that reads

USB FastBoot: V1_.03.00

HW version: V0.4

AMSS version: A1-04.02.01

Machine ID: 1009000 v0

Build Date: May 10 2010 21:01:43

Serial Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

usb_init

and it's showing up in Device Manager as a ADB Interface (Windows 7)

Hello!

I can only reassure you, I think it is in FASTBOOT MODE and it can be recovered for sure, wait for a more experienced user in reply to your request.

Regards :lol:

Can you tell me what you did?

Once I got it in to the fastboot mode I played with superboot (1.4) and after that the download tool picked it up and I was able to flash it with a new rom.

Bit more explicit. "Played" what was, more exactly?
