Internal Memory 7.7GB - Omnia i8000 2GB

Hello to you all,

this is my first post here and I hope to do everything in the right manner.

I have a question about the internal memory of my device (samsung omnia 2 - i8000): connecting my Omnia 2 with USB (Internal Memory selected) to my pc with Linux (Ubuntu 8.10) and browsing into the phone, I noticed on the destktop appeared two "disks": 1.5 GB Media (the current internal usable memory) and 536.9 MB Media (I think the partition with the System Recovery Installer, or something similar). Then I was surprised when I right-clicked on the 536.9 MB Media asking the Proprieties and I got: 536.9 MB Used and 7.7 GB Free!!!! I was asking to myself if it could be possible to "unlock" these 7.7 GB free to get them usable as a plus User Storage.
