Guest BigBearMDC Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 .....it seems to have changed from what a fantastic phone, to problems with most things! Should I now be nervous? No! Not at all! From what I saw the major problem is that some apps are not running, but that's normal. And there are always some phones that are faulty. The SanFran is an awesome phone, and you will love it  Everything will be working fine, don't worry B) Best regards, BB
Guest Rem1x Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 The phone's awesome, don't worry
Guest Simon O Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 I think most people that are happy don't see a need to post on the forum saying this, but people with problems are posting to try and get help. Reading most threads I can group the problems into a few categories: 1) User error: Not following instructions, unsure how to do things, not activating the phone before unlocking etc 2) High expectations: Expecting the phone to perform like a Nexus One etc 3) Hardware issues. Screen issues, low volume If you ignore all the general user issues then the phone is actually surprisingly good. There are always going to be people reporting that the phone is bad because it doesn't do feature A or function B but people have to remember it's a £99 phone and it's not a top-end Android device. You won't regret your phone at all. I promise you.
Guest Rem1x Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 Not to mention things can only get better with Froyo, and custom ROMs! The phone is pretty loud for me, here, anyway.
Guest orangephone Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 Things are fine for me. Internet works, apps work, any sim works, speaker is loud, etc. At first I didn't know how to use it which is why I ran into some problems but they weren't really problems. It's a good phone. If you get errors with it you can always get it replaced but mine is okay.
Guest weba Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 Perhaps a forum vote is in order. I'm another satisfied owner.

Guest moldavite Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 Perhaps a forum vote is in order. I'm another satisfied owner. I'll add I'm another owner satisfied with the phone, unfortunately not so satisfied with orange customer services.
Guest Blake Loring Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 I'll add I'm another owner satisfied with the phone, unfortunately not so satisfied with orange customer services. Agreed. THe phone is brilliant - orange CS are not.
Guest ToMonkey Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 I wouldn't worry about the phone, its my first one and having played with a load of others its spot on, even better when you consider the price. I've had a couple of issues but most of them being down to the fact its my first one and i'm just learning how it works. Just brought it into work and people are really surprise by the quality for the price.
Guest sipart Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 Don't worry the SF is THE BEST budget/mid range Android phone and is in some ways as good as very expensive high end phones (the screen - the design). Some minus points that via software fixes (WIFI pickup) should be fixed. A missing four way button/trackball obviously can't be added. Both issues are minor (if the WIFI pickup is not fixed then it will become a major irritation for me). But as mentioned it is the BEST budget/mid range Android phone :-) I look forward to ZTE's next budget phone - they have lifted the bar very high.
Guest Marinetux Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 .....it seems to have changed from what a fantastic phone, to problems with most things! Should I now be nervous? Hi Chris, don´t worry, the phone itself is pretty nice and really fast for the money you have to pay compared to my HTC Desire! The original Orange-Stock-ROM sucks due to bloatware and branding, but thank god there´s Paul and the other developers :) with a nice and clean CustomROM.
Guest randal24 Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 As posted above, it's a terrific phone - especially for <£99. The only gripes I've found are the wifi not auto-reconnecting from sleep, and my alarm clock causing the phone to hard reset this morning. It's alright, didn't want to get out of bed anyway. See if it does it again tomorrow....
Guest spoonium Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 1) User error: Not following instructions, unsure how to do things, not activating the phone before unlocking etc Just to make sure, you really have to activate the phone using the Orange SIM card before unlocking and inserting another SIM?
