Great thanks! How does one revert back to the stock theme afterwards?

A few pages back I attached the original framework, just flash that with Clockwork.

need some help here, am working on GalaxyS for 2.2 and its working fine, except the circle battery icon, in Froyo 2.2 Framework-res.apk i have

/system/ framework/ framework-res.apk/ drawable-hdpi/

and from GalaxyS circle battery frame work for 2.1 i have same folder and an additional folder

/system/ framework/ framework-res.apk/ drawable-hdpi -v4 /

all the circle icons are in their, no battery icons in standard drawable-hdpi, now when i copy these to Froyo framework in / drawable-hdpi/ it doesnt work, infact the battery stat is stuck @ 100% and 30% while charging and its not animated

how to solve it, ?

It's probably different filenames.

Certainly the battery charging is animated with the images drawable-hdpi/stat_sys_battery_charge_anim0.png, anim1.png, anim2.png, anim3.png, anim4.png and anim5.png. Do your battery icons that you're transferring conform to these filenames?

EDIT : Oh and battery status when not on charge is done using drawable-hdpi/stat_sys_battery_0.png, 10, 20, 40 60, 80 and battery_100.png.

That should solve it I think. Let me know how you get on buddy.

OK, I finished fixing Elegant Steel for Froyo too, it's cool finding about how to change the look of the phone. :)

Just flash it with Clockwork recovery.

Thanks magicman, some very nice work you are doing there..

Keep it up..

Thanks mate, I appreciate the compliment, all I'm doing though is repackaging, with maybe a little bit of editing here and there. Actually I want to do a couple of other things with Elegant Steel. The battery status (when not on charge) is coloured in with a percentage value displayed at the moment whereas on the 2.1 version it's all grey, so I'll be changing that. Also I want to change icons for GMail and incoming messages so they're more in keeping with the theme. I'll probably do them sometime over the weekend, got a family though so it'll be edited when and where I can fit it in. Anyway thanks again for the comment :)

I thought I'd just upload this update to the 2.2 Elegant Steel theme. I've greyed out the battery status so it just shows you battery status in grey (looks nicer), and I've changed the silent icon on the lock screen from a kind of amber to a grey fade in keeping with the other lockscreen icons.

Regarding the poster with the PINK theme, just read the guides on how to change clock colour etc from the guides online. I've posted the links to the guides I've used earlier in the thread, that should get you started.

EDIT: Sorry, misread the post, gave an answer that wasn't necessary.

Ok last update for my fix for Froyo Elegant Steel. This time I've changed the volume & progress bars to blue to reflect the original theme.

Just flash with Clockwork.

EDIT: Regarding the Pink theme, it's a work in progress. I've done some bits on it, but it looks hideous, so I'll keep plugging away until it looks alright. There's other themes that I like much more than that one though and they'll get done first.

That's for lower res phones, but if you can find a HDPI version, sure.

It is quite nice though. I assume that Launcher Pro is running with a custom shortcut for the app drawer and the page dots enabled? I reckon it's easy enough, the only tedious thing about this theme is that you'd have to pull all the /system/app apps and change the icons. Oh and what is the clock widget?

Man, I just love this theme - exactly the look I wanted for my phone!

I used the one with custom fonts when running 2.1, any possibility to implement them in the 2.2 version aswell?

Do i have to be on a custom rom to apply themes or is the stock rooted enough?

I'm used to my spica needing a deodexed rom for themes.
