Guest sensory Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 So what happens if you use a class 2 card in one of these devices? Say just for storage of music, pics etc..? I'm using an 8GB class 2 card and I haven't encountered any problems. Class 4 is nice and all but it can get very expensive and I'm not convinced that you'll notice a major difference when using a phone.
Guest norwici Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 can anyone clarify this, has anyone used a 16 or 32gb in the san fran, how many comapnies miss qoute nowdays ha ha. I think ill hold off till i find out for definate. If you read this thread you'll see details of a 16gb card, class 4. It will tell you how it performs and where to buy it.
Guest hillmie87 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Strangely the Orange manual ("San Francisco") on Page 125 ("Specifications") quotes the "maximum capacity of memory card" as being just 8gb. But on their website, they said that up to 32gb memory card is supported.
Guest flatnote31 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 I bought the Dane-Elec 16gb from 7dayshop. Advertised as Class 2, but when I received it, it was class-4 !! Will give it a shot and see...dfeinitely must be better than the class-2 2gb Verbatim that came with it One question though, what do I have to do to switch sdcards? Any available guides? format, partition, restore folders and all the bla di bla ?

As for the question relating to memory card size, has anyone put in a card larger than 8GB as of yet to clarify that it will take larger??? Would really appreciate someones imput with this as waiting to buy one once I know for sure. cheers Phil

Guest G0DSPEED Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 would that work? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/kingston-16GB-sdhc-c...8#ht_552wt_1137 I may be reading it wrong but thats just a normal sized SDHC card isn't it? You get a free micro sd/sd card reader with it but its not a 'micro' card :) Cheers G
Guest dwl99 Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 would that work? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/kingston-16GB-sdhc-c...8#ht_552wt_1137 No, that is a full-size SD card. You want a micro SD card. Beware, there are a lot of fake memory cards on Ebay. Go with a reputable retailer.

The worst story i think i have heard is someone bought a 16GB micro sd but when it came to physical volume it was only 256mb. Only my opinion but tread carefully mate
