Guest The Soup Thief Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 I bought this case from ebay for my Nokia 5230. Tried it when I got my San Francisco. It felt a bit tight on the first day, but after a day or so san francisco fit perfectly. Not too tight or loose. Just perfect. I just got one of these following a link on a another thread (tip off from Flash2004) - a sleeve and 3 screen protectors delivered for less than three quid
Guest The Ice Cream Man Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Any news on getting hold of spares?
Guest kissofjudas Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 well it's been a good introduction to a smartphone, but now I have also purchased a Desire, I can see why the SF is so inexpensive still a bargain to fiddle with, but that's it, yep you need to carry that charger with you
Guest Stryke69 Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 well it's been a good introduction to a smartphone, but now I have also purchased a Desire, I can see why the SF is so inexpensive still a bargain to fiddle with, but that's it, yep you need to carry that charger with you Hmm, my SF lasts 2-3 days, some calls, some messaging, a bit surfing, games... The only thing I do is that i only turn on GPS, WiFi, etc. when it's needed.
Guest mELIANTE Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Hmm, my SF lasts 2-3 days, some calls, some messaging, a bit surfing, games... The only thing I do is that i only turn on GPS, WiFi, etc. when it's needed. x2. Not exactly two days but I'm constantly fiddling with it. I got 40 hours out of this last charge with some phone calls, plenty of SMSs and some Web via WiFi, with 3G and background data on; listened to some music too. Comparing to my last phone, a Nokia 5800 (1320mAh battery) it's on par and I'm satisfied. Of course a spare battery could come handy, but for me, it gets through the day and that's enough.
Guest MDCFan Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 (edited) Back to the batteries :) I contacted an ebay supplier xiaoqinzhang2009 and he gave me the following reply I have check. In China, this battery is 1300 mah, same ID. These type phone will be sell next money. So recently there is no battery for sell. Is that OK?? When I get it, I will contact you. I will update when he gets back to me. John Does that mean that chinese version of ZTE Blade (the one with froyo) will be available on next monday? Edited October 29, 2010 by MDCFan
Guest john306 Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 These are doing a spare battery for the SF @ £7.85 http://www.m-99.co.uk/orange-san-francisco.html
Guest Jon_V Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 These are doing a spare battery for the SF @ £7.85 http://www.m-99.co.uk/orange-san-francisco.html I don't think so - They list the same products & prices for other devices, eg: http://www.m-99.co.uk/soutec-sc3988.html http://www.m-99.co.uk/samsung-a200.html http://www.m-99.co.uk/lg-2000w.html I doubt that the batteries exist, at least for SF.
Guest twrock Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 (edited) Has anyone approached Cameron Sino about this? They are usually the first to bring aftermarket batteries on the scene. Just my two cents worth, but my experience with Cameron Sino is that they will sell you a battery if they have it and it will have a BIG mAh number on it, but it will not deliver the actual battery life expected. I purchased batteries for three different devices from them (or from others with their branding), and all have been rated higher than my originals, but none have delivered the battery life of the originals. In one case, the replacement performed worse than the original after the original had already been used for three years! Ridiculous! Edited November 1, 2010 by twrock

What do you mean "I don't think so"? Have you had dealings with these people before? I must admit I haven't. It's on their website as " brand new Orange San Francisco compatible battery" so why wouldn't it be so?
Guest ChromeNewt Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 Considering the size of the battery I wouldn't mind having an identical spare , thinking of batteries almost like magazine clips for guns now, so if you are out all night with quite heavy usage you can have double battery life. Thoughts? Suggestions for a charging unit that could charge just a battery, as in not a phone? Andy I like your thinking! What would also be good is a back cover that was a little more reassuring to remove/attach. "Mag" eject button would be awesome. ;D thank you i really need at least 1 new battery i go through two charges a day because it dies so quick Not sure what you're doing here but I get a full day using Cube player and playing with wifi/gps on and off. If I'm good then I get an entire weekend out of it. Have you tried JuiceProtector? According to its own stats I'm getting x2.3 battery life out of it. It certainly seems to work. x2. Not exactly two days but I'm constantly fiddling with it. I got 40 hours out of this last charge with some phone calls, plenty of SMSs and some Web via WiFi, with 3G and background data on; listened to some music too. Totally agreed. Are you using JuiceProtector? If not then I'd be interested to know what you are using and also if JuiceProtector would increase your battery life. I'm nothing to do with that app btw, I just have a lot of faith in it as it seems to be sorting my phone out nicely on this front.

They appear to have automatically generated the same accessories page but for different phones, with all accessories being the same price. Check the reviews on http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews-all-120825.html too.. I'd happily be proven wrong though, and would order from them if I thought I'd actually receive the product. Edited to add: The company appears to be run by Ecyan: http://www.simonwakeman.com/2005/12/30/don...-from-ecyancom/ http://www.simonwakeman.com/2007/01/15/ecy...cy-a-follow-up/ Edited November 1, 2010 by Jon_V
Guest callepego Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 I need replacement battery for my san-fran, I used WiFi tethering on it for a few hours and the battery got cooked (around forty three centigrade) I just found this source, http://www.m-99.co.uk/orange-san-francisco.html , and I've ordered a battery. These are compatible batteries so I will post the results when I've tried it.
