Does this mean the case has been updated to take standard USB chargers without them falling out with every slight movement?

yup - standard cable fits fine, secure. In fact just dropped phone on wood floor and is fine. !!

I haven't got another usb cable yet so can't comment on others. Worst case could either increase case aperture slightly, or shave end of cable surround.

You can only blame the postal service. It's not like he's running from China to Europe with a backpack filled of jelly cases and delivering them himself.

Who knows when he's actually posting them out!

Same here. I'm not a happy bunny. :(

Well true to his word the case and other screen protector have just turned up. The postmark shows that it was posted two days earlier than my other package. Fantastic quality and a really good fit. I feel bad about doubting Sohogopher now tbh. Shame it took so long to arrive, but I will leave him good feedback regardless. The product can't be faulted.

For anyone just joining this thread and doesn't fancy reading 46 pages .... the best case and protector so far looks like this one

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Orange-San-Francisco...=item3f075da763

Have just ordered mine so I will report back with quality and fit once its received :(

Quick up date ... Ordered this yesterday, came first thing this morning, case and screen protector fit like a glove, does not hamper any of the ports -- 100% happy :(

I don't actually think when he posts the item is the problem, more like what service he uses to send the products out, which might explain why it took so long to arrive. Personally my theory is that he uses a cheap service (and therefore takes ages but the post date is accurate :() and takes the profit from the shipping but you can call me a conspiracist and now that there is too many complaints he might use what he would normally have used with the money that was being charged for shipping. HOWEVER, supposedly now he is using royal mail and john smith has yet to answer what postal service delivered to uk addresses AFTER it arrived in england. BTW i was right, Timeblast now offers recorded second class delivery if you choose this option the price difference is negligible and still takes less than a week to arrive.

also on the same note, has anyone noticed how soho's white case listing states Delivery: Estimated within 2-3 working days to the uk now? i wonder how many people will fall for that one.

Ordered a grey one today! As it comes to Portugal I know that it takes a bit longer!

After I receive it I'll make a quick update...

Has someone already experience with this Nillkin case for the ZTE Blade/Orange SF.

It looks the same as from Timeblast, Sogopher and Netimes, but I think it could be the cheapest option for Europe continent, because you can actually bid by auction too.

If that is your suspicion then do not buy from ebay.

I do not think anyone can continue doing business by lying.

If the seller informs you that it has been shipped, I will believe that, in good faith.

As far as I know, there is only ONE Nillkin. As yet there is no "fake" or "imitation" Imitation do not have to put the Nillkin name on it. Because the market is not very big, not many manufacturer wants to make this.

looks exactly the same package as from timeblast that I ordered.

Don't get the bit about o.5mm out around power/volume - think that is being really picky - looks pretty perfect to me & all buttons work fine through the case.

Suppose it is a bit two-tone but not massively glossy on the front. Feels very good quality & makes phone feel more robust.

Really worth it.

I did a bit of research and I now know what john.smith was talking.

He got himself in a bit of muddle by not telling the truth.

All he had to say was that "xxxx service is now used to send this to UK" and everyone would understand and probably feel happier about it. He would thus get more business.

It is definitely not sent by royal mail, not initially. Everyone knows all mails, from anywhere in the world, are delivered by royal mail.

In fact it was the fault of the "service provider" to tell their "clients" to "fool" customers that packages are actually delivered by local service. And that was what john.smith was saying and understandably, no one believes him.

The "royal mail stamp" was already on it when it was sent out in Hong Kong, as far as I understand.

There is no need to hide such information really.

Now let john.smith (if that was his real name) tell you what it is.

If I was wrong and he did not actually use such service then it must be sent from UK.

He should have said "I have sent these items to UK and some will send them on my behalf from UK", then everone is happy.

Why lie (or not telling the truth) about it? It is not doing yourself any good.

Here's my advice on sohogopher, their clones and their business practices, contained in my message this morning to eBay:

"It sounds very convenient for you to and the seller to claim that "THE" item was received. In fact "THE" item was not received. Once again sleight of hand prevails in the world of scammers and those who profit from their activities. I refuse to jump through any more hoops within your restricted resolution processes, design to enable you and your scamming sellers to crap on buyers. Either you sort this out based on the clear and concise information already given, or I will never deal with eBay or Paypal again.

Regards,

Mike Halmarack"

Here's my sincere apology to SohoGopher.

The case arrived today and it looks good. I did mistakenly go off the deep end over this delay and I apologize. I was annoyed far more by eBay's attitude than by SohoGopher. I was still smarting from being ripped of by a previous, more expensive phone scam, where both PayPal and eBay profited despite my loss and the crooked seller is still active on eBay. Personally I think eBay shouldn't be allowed to profit from the criminal scams perpetrated by some sellers but they do.

As I mentioned above this was the final straw for me, being fobbed of by eBay, so I closed my eBay and PayPal account and feel at last like I've responded in the right way regarding their business practices.

Can't say the same. Mine was ordered on the 27th of January, dispatched the following day; still no signs of it. Sogohoeffer has been very kind in its responses, but the fact is I've paid for an item that I have yet to receive. 30 workdays and counting.

Hello guys!

Well I know this is a very late posting, and I doubt anyone will read it (because there are now official Blade covers) I just wanted to add some photos of my white SanFran with a pink (They do loads of colours, don't worry!) Samsung i900 silicone case. Unfortunately, I can't really afford £7 for a official case at the moment, so really this is for anyone who can't get hold of a case, or just needs a stop gap. There were some brilliant suggestions on here, and after Uhmmin and Arring over a Nokia e71 case or a Samsung case, I decided to try the Samsung one. Very very pleased, eps. for the price which included a screen protector and a screen cloth. However, the protector is naff and was already scratched on arrival, but it'll do for now, air bubbles and all. ^^

The charger hole is placed well, but the earphone slot is covered, as well as half the camera. Turning volume up and down and turning the phone on through the case is all fine.

Main view (rather girly....sorry!):

Back (hehe I also used the Android dude to cover the Orange logo! Although mine is a bit wonky):

Pretty good for now! :( Hopefully I can jusify buying a £7 case (I KNOW it doesn't seem a lot, but right now I'm pretty skint is all) Anyway, thanks sooo much to this forum for helping me make some good decisions! It was so helpful.

Mate just bought these screenguards from ebay i fitted one for him today they are horrendous no better than sellotape AVOID.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/6x-screen-protector-...=item2a0e185e74

So can anyone recommend a good screenguard only ?

Doesnt need a case got one from ebay from lilamfashions but the screenguard is way too thick im sure it interferes with the smoothness of the touchscreen.

There are so many screen protectors on the market it is difficult to know which is best. I personally do not think different type/brand makes much difference.

If you cannot get one specialy for OSF, get one for Nokia C7 from your local store.

It is perfect width. You just have to trim the end. It does not cover the earpiece hole. Otherwise it is perfect. You will have more choice from your local store. If you know which type is best then you can choose that for Nokia C7.

I had this when I first had the OSF. I had since bought a case that came with screen protector but I would not bother to change it as it is so good.

Haha! Thanks for the compliment! Us girlies need to stick together. :( I'm sure it would go great with the black SanFran too. Too be honest, the pink is kinda TOO pink (aka neon)....but black is a bit plain for me. They also do a lovely turquoise one as well. Turquoise Case on eBay

The white SF wasn't my 1st choice actually, but I was on the phone to Orange and the girl offered me a £15 monthly deal there and then instead of the usual £25, so I just went for it (she was a good saleswoman, I give you that! I panicked!). But thankfully it's FINALLY grown on me, I was pretty gutted at the style of it at first (the white is so much more plasticy than the black) But hey ho! Great wee phone. :(
