Just in case anyone is interested, the printed screen protectors are available (with a combo package with a Sofiz jelly case for approx. US$11.00 or EUR7,80)

Are these going to appear on eBay? I would rather trust the protection eBay gives me than directly through a shop linked in Facebook.

Yes, there will be, but of course that will add up eBay charges and other admin costs.

Please expect to have that in 12 hours.

Please PM me with your purchase details (and full name/ email address). I guess it's not so appropriate to make this thread a customer support page.

Sorry to everyone else

But isn't this protector case very hard to get off of your jeans pocket, too much rubberized?

I use a nilkin case and personally, I find it better than the Sofiz or the Sikai ones. :P

And as for putting the screen guards on, you'll get the hang of it after putting on 2-3 ones. I screwed up my first one and since then I've been pretty okay (1-2 minute bubbles at the max). But last friday, I put on one for my friend and it was PERFECT, no bubbles whatsoever and perfect placement! So practice till you perfect it. lol

in order to apply a screenprotector with no bubbles at all, you need to use some soap.

This is how i did it (and i haven't got any bubbles at all)

- first clean it with some kind of micro fiber tissue (mostly you'll get one free with the screenprotector)

- if you removed all the dust particles, wet some of the tissue, but not to wet, also apply some soap (not much!) (i used some regular hand soap)

- clean the tissue with some water, so that your screen won't foam like hell :')

- apply the slighty wet tissue to your screen, let it dry for some minutes, and then if your surface is completely dry,

- use the screen protector

- start with the number 1 side, apply it, (very gently) so that it has a perfect fit, (don't rush it!)

- press the protector with a credit card or something to the surface.

-voila, a perfect applied screenprotector.

-> Did the trick, but you'll have to get some patience in order to have no bubbles. :P

here you can see the same principe (so just dont use a dry tissue)

but i recommend to wet the tissue and not your phone.

Anyone?

Dunno. I keep my purple Sikai case-housed phone in my handbag front pocket where it is quite happy. :D

I have a sofiz case and a Sikai one. I like the latter better. The Sikai feels like it protects the phone better, and covers more of the phone surface (the sides, and the case goes right up to the power buttons. The Sofiz cases leave a gap that to me looks like a dust or scratch magnet). The power button is harder to press on the Sofiz, because the material is a lot more rigid. The more latex-like material of the Sikai makes me think it would absorb any impact better (I may be wrong on this one, just the sense I get). However, the Sikai does make the phone a lot more chunky and the rubberised feel might cause you problems if you keep the phone in your jeans pocket, but it does grip better. The Sofiz has a sleeker profile and is more smooth and I love the pattern on the back. I just wish it didn't leave that gap between the bottom of the phone and the buttons and was available in purple. Just my opinion.

Heh, I bought pretty much exact same thing for £5 last week, it also says Nilkin on the back, with two screen protectors. And I got a complimentary screen cleaning cloth.

However, screen is noticeably less sensitive, I have to press slightly harder for it to respond. It's not too bad, but still, it would be nicer if it worked like it did without screen protector or like with that default screen protection film, with which it came from the factory.

And I only got two tiny bubbles on one side, but they are on the black part, so it's fine :D

Further to my earlier post about the Play.com Exspect case, here is the e-mail I recieved yesterday,

Dear ..........,

Thank you for your email.

I am extremely sorry to hear that you are not entirely satisfied with your recent experience of using Play.com. Our intention is for every customer to enjoy helpful and efficient service and I sincerely apologise if this has not been achieved on this occasion.

Unfortunately it appears that a genuine human error has lead to this product being described incorrectly. We have now fixed the error on the website, but we do not have a screen protector and cloth for that product. I can offer you a ........ refund to keep the item as a gesture of goodwill (and perhaps purchase your own), or you can return the item for a full refund.

Once again, please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience you may have been caused in this matter, and I hope this offer can go some way to restoring your faith in Play.com. Thank you for your understanding and valued custom.

Kind regards

.......................

Play.com

As I said before ,the case with the cloth and screen protector would have earned a 5 star review,on its own the case becomes a little expensive.

Paul

Looks like Play don't really know what they are doing.. I emailed them back after a month of waiting for them to reply to me.. and they responded to say they are still investigating and will get back to me. (this was yesterday) so some staff are saying one thing ~(technical error we will get it sent out).. some another (send it back for a refund) and some giving partial refunds and letting you keep it... mad.

hmm i actually prefer it this way, it feels like the same sensitivity but the screen feels more solid.

as this poll seems to never end and the starter does not answer private messages about it :D I bought the plain white sofiz case from timeblast and I am more than happy with it. delivery to germany two days after buying, original usb cable fits well and the black sofiz logo was easily removed with nail polish remover.
