Guest sixx07 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 dear all, after 3 times flashing rom using since bought it 6 months ago, i found that windows mobile 6.5 with manila run smoother than wm 6.5.3. no laggies, no need to soft reset because lack of memories and so on. besides the position of start menu, can anyone tell me the main differences between these two versions? thanks a lot and sorry for the noob question.

Wow ! 3 flashing in 6 months. I guess obsessive flashing has not caught up with you yet. Ibought mine about 1o months ago and I have flashed it ... times (Only God knows). On a more serous note I do not know the difference either. I guess many users of this forum prefer wm 6.5.x because of it's finger friendliness. Maybe the experts here can shed more light on this.
Guest Astracat_95 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Having used both 6.5.3 and 6.5 I'd say I prefer 6.5 for the main thing that sets them apart is the WM6.5 has an option to close apps with the 'X' button, which you can enable in the main menu. Also, the keyboard in WM6.5 is light coloured, the keyboard in 6.5.3 is dark. Speedwise I haven't really paid that much attention to notice much difference, to be honest. If anyone else here knows any other obvious differences between the two, please add them too. :)
Guest sixx07 Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 thanks for the reply. i think, wm 6.5.3 ability that can easily drag the icon to any row in start menu while wm 6.5 can only move it to the top, is the main difference that i want most in wm 6.5. anymore clues?
Guest dragonmatahari Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 memory management on 6.5.x is more optimized (choose latest build) some says it a memory leaked. try observe memory being used during first boot then after using 4-6 time cycle applications between 6.5 and 6.5.x although its not a measured stick in terms of stability between builds (plus minus bugs and etc) correct me if i'm wrong, but logically, new release bring new stuff..
