What order to install?

Ok so, hoping to get my hands on a SF by mid next week.

Just trying to get my head around what I need to do when I get it.

In what order do I need to do the following:

1. ClockWork Recovery
   
2. Superboot/MCRi
   
3. ModacoCustom Rom R3
   

And briefly what does each do? Am i right in thinking the following:

ClockWork Recovery - Allows you to backup/restore your current system

Superboot/MCRi - Gives you root access and ability to flash the blade with MoDaCo's Custom Roms

R3 - The Custom Rom with Orange stuff removed and performance tweaks etc...

I'm a total newb to Android but have wanted one for ages, just couldn't afford the Desire. This SF looks like it'll be a great starter to get into the Android world.

I dont think ive recovered my phone, just followed this and this.

I wasnt told to do anything with recovery, can i still do anything about that?
