I do have one question though: Is ADW installed by default? or is Launcher2 built in as well?

hi everybody. great work going on here. but i'v landed in a bit of a rut. my own fault. i hav an o2 locked streak. m using rebel sim. i flashed the first 2.2 rom via fastboot after upgrading my baseband, figuring i'l use the 2.1 official pkg to downgrade later. but nw m stuck. am unable to flash the update.pkg no matter wat i do. n thus cant use my sim (rebel sim). as this is my primary phone, i'm in serious trouble nw. :) so was wondering is there any other way to downgrade my baseband, or some other way to flash the pkg without problems, or m stuck for nw. thanks in advance.

is there a fix for the camera problem? I meant, my camera app is working, it just wont record video at 720p. It comes out 3ggp i think. Really would like that 720p. I read from pages back about someone experiencing the same problem. but i havent caught up. Will read when i get back home.

Steve, Did you manage to look at SSL issue as i still cant sync with Exchange on Stock email or Touchdown, 2 people have confirmed theirs is working with Touchdown but mine isn't and this is the deal breaker for staying with Froyo or i have to go back to 2.1, Many Thanks

I'm able to use exchange with the stock email just fine. We are using exchange server 2007 and I haven't had any problems. I have my contacts, email and calendar synced.

Had a similar problem with unresponsive screen input. This would usually start after a few minutes of trying to input text to update apps etc. Might have been due to corrupted build.prop (on my part) but not sure yet. Stopped updating the build.prop after upgrade and no more problems. Still not sure what the issue was.

im gonna have to reflash and see if it is the build.prop file. its annoying that this is happening lol its the only thing that keeps me from using it as a daily build. its almost perfect other than that especially for such an early release

since I installed the 2.2 I get a message about LOTA logs?

NPI_err logs... what the heck does that mean? i just clear the message and it reappears later (like 8 or 9 hours)

I have the Data only Streak and the setting don't work for me but I do have a Pay and go Sim and that works OK

so somewhere the settings must be wrong will keep checking any replys

Installed yesterday, so far:

- both camera crash - will try replacing build.prop solution

also noticed after camera applications crash the place where front camera is starting to heat quite noticeably....just fyi

- rest is working fine

Pls also let me know Who has experienced improvement or disemrovement for battery life as imho, discharging faster so far than it was on o2 2.1 build.... Device is Europe unlocked one

streakflash wont flash the other images (invalid signature or something - ive tried) - try flashing a stock 2.1 recovery then see if pkg works

i would like to flash the froyo. I installed the clockwork and using nandroid to back-up the current rom but stuck in the "back up data...." . Can somebody help?

if you flash the first froyo update it doesnt have ADW just the normal launcher, ive tried both updates, IMHO first one is better.

ADW is used in all CM roms because it's open source.

marra2 got 40+, i got 34. but i think you might need the .35 kernal that smokku i think he's called is working on to get better results. this is my understanding, i might be wrong lol

sorry stephen, still not working. n now i cant even boot up, go to recovery or fastboot. :) volume keys pressed or camera button pressed, if i try to power up, nothing happens. if i try to power up normally, gets stuck at dell logo. if i press power button n wen see the leds light up, press cam button, still gets stuck at dell logo. wat to do? pls help.

FIXED IT! - the 3G/GPS Bug!! Read through my log further tonight, looks like it was disconnecting from mobile.o2.co.uk apn and connecting to the pay and go one that appears by default when the gps was being used...

Just had to go in and untick default and supl from the payandgo APN and tick default and supl in the mobile.o2.co.uk APN - now have 3g/wifi/gps all working together :) ;)

Pretty much just the orientation sensor bug left!

Thanks Navrac you are the only one that gave the instructions for installing the build.prop ..I have been trying to install it all day

and reading your instructions it said Press the mount button !! and it worked ..the only thing I notice that you should rename Build.txt to Build.prop

inside Root Explorer ...Thanks again

I suggested renaming it when you put it on the sd card as people would be more familiar renaming in windows than with root explorer.

The only issue is i cant get swype to work, it just clicks and beeps at me when i try to use it... any ideas?
