Noob question, if i update to mr. hyde's V2, using cloockwork, will that wipe my device? Last time i updated to 2.2, i forgot to remove my blizz authenticator... so the device got wiped.. , no SC2 for me for 2 days since blizz is 'busy' dealing with other stuff... :)

Try calibrating the screen by holding volume buttons when booting (as if you were going to fastboot).

Just did screen calibration. Hope this fixes the touch screen issue.

I've had this problem twice so far, but I'm still on the original build. I'll wake up and it'll be frozen on the Dell logo.

I've had issues off and on as well. At home it appears if I edit the existing "network" in my remembered list and change Auto to WPA/WPA2 PSK it seems to work better. At work I've had issues, even though it's an "open" network, but I think that's b/c I messed with the APN Scheduling and didn't set my peak hours correctly. The wording is awfully weird..

for the wpa issues, as well as ad-hoc...solution from another thread. replace wpa_supplicant in /system/bin folder with this one:

worked for me. I how use ad-hoc connection from my iphone 4's 3g connection to my streak.

Utterly awesome - very very fast compared to 2.1. Missing the Dell UI additions but 2.2's improvements make that a small inconvenience.

But, my Streak randomly shuts off, and I need to take out the battery before I can power up again (after reading through the previous load of pages, it might be my touchscreen and buttons failing to respond...). The WiFi tethering option doesn't seem to work for me either - the Tethering app loads but the Portable Hotspot option comes up with "Error" when I try to activate it!

Another problem I've been having are missing app icons. Certain apps' icons are set to the default android icon even though it shows up fine in the Market.

Also (a noob question), if I install future updates for this custom ROM, will it wipe the phone again?

Steve i have been having trouble connecting to WPA/WPA2 PSK wifi network it just dont even show the network on beta 1 where i was on the 2.1 rom it showed fine tonight i have just updated to beta 2 so when i go to work tommorow fingers crossed its gonna show this time will report back but something was definetly not wright as i tried formating many times going back to 2.1 and then back to froyo still the same so hope this update works. I dont know if you can emutate a WPA/WPA2 PSK network and try for yourself or if anyone here on the forums has this type of network to try can report here thanks.

Please see your PM. I had this problem. The only solution for me was to select "Factory Reset" and now it works. Probably not the most elegate solution, but quickest for me in the long run.

Why would you charge overnight? At 10% battery or even complete drain it takes no more than 20 minutes of wall charge to get back to 100%. I would thin that is hurting your battery life in the long run. I have woke up from full charge to a dead phone off though, but that was only in the 2.1 build.

Just for convenience sake. I'm running around a lot and its useful to have a full charge in the morning. I usually don't have a place to plug into during the day. On 2.1 I would get full day of moderate use. 8 to midnight, plug in at bedtimeand wake up to full charge and go.

After battery wipe I get about the same usage, except for waking up to phone that's off.

I have airplane mode on, don't have a sim card in my streak, and have wifi on. why would I be getting this much pull from cell standby?!???

EDIT think i fixed it. changed ro.ril.hsxpa from 1 to 0. now cell standby doesnt even come up.

Anyone else having issues getting cell/data to work after updating to v2?

I have tried twice to image it via ClockWork as instructed.. everything loads, but i have no cell/data connection after the update.

Any suggestions?

Did you update baseband?

Sounds like you need to go to 8105 and then to update v2

I used to do that but one day just like you mine didn't come back and now I can't charge my streak using the provided usb cable/charger.. Odd yes. Waiting for my new battery to see if it makes any difference. Shuld be here tomorrow

Is anyone able to get swype to work? The keyboard pops up, but I can't type or swype.

I got it to work. This is what I did:

- download the latest apk.

- Using rootexplorer search for "libSwypeCore.so“ and delete it. You can also find it inside system/lib/libSwypeCore.so

- Install the swype latest apk.

- Enjoy. =)

i keep getting a warning error that tells me that the file "cannot be deleted because the file system is read-"

im rooted and rootexplorer has acess. any idea what im missing here?
