Can anyone else help me with this problem if i can solve this isue this rom is perfect for me.

Update the network it dont find is WPA/WPA PSK its a BT router

Maybe just change the channel in which your network is on and try that first?

Problems with Wifi connection is down to some routers being completely DHCP compliant and the phones hostname using a none DHCP compliant chara (underscore to be exact), with some trial and error and the help of DJ_Steve I finally made it work with my router. The alter will be in the next update but for those who want to know how I did it, here it is:

Need the Streak rooted

Install Root Explorer (many other work)

Navigate to /system/etc/

Mount R/W

Find init.qcom.post_boot.sh

add the line "setprop net.hostname Dellstreak" (remove the " "s) just above target=

and save changes and mount R/O

This worked for me, setprop alters the hostname in the build.prop but Steve could not get it to set permanently so I found that this works.

I am not sure that this would cause any security breaches, it is running in another script that runs before full boot so aslong as you know what you are doing try it out.

Only problem being is that 99% of my apps Force Close when launched??? Am I missing something here - what do i need to change in settings etc???

Did you do a fresh install of the apps or did you restore a backup?

I had this problem as well when I restored with MyBackup Pro. You can solve it by uninstalling the app and then re-installing it. Your app settings should remain.

I have switched to Titanium Backup Pro recently and now I can do a restore without the FC issues.

Has anyone figured out why some items do not show on the market? I cannot get Google Voice to pop up but I get a lot of other apps and paid apps to show.

Also I do not see the 2.2 voice control update either.

Rockplayer working perfectly with higher bitrate/resolution avi files without losing sync. Psx4droid running quicker. UI is doing the whole 360 degree turn around thing which freaked me out! :) Loving it.

Ok first day out of the house not on WIFI and data is running really slow (when it works at all) it's taking roughly 5 minutes to get any data running and times out a lot on websites with the message 'Sorry HTTP request was interrupted by the host!' not entirely sure whats causing it, also text messages are taking around 20seconds to go from sending to sent, not to fussed about the messages but i can't keep waiting for 5 minutes to use data, is there a fix for this?

Definately a re-flash is needed. Perhaps D/L the file again as well

Hi Steve, Posted a couple of times is there anyway you can look at Exchange mail set-up or check if anything has changed with SSL certificate authentication as since 2.2 i cannot sync with Exchange which is so frustrating as i have to go back to 2.1, tried again when i saw Beta 2 uploaded but still no exchange mail sync.

I am more than willing to donate if you can get this working

I have had exchange working fine since first release, I sync to exchange 2007 with ssl at work and also with exchange 2003 for my home email without ssl. are you using the built in email client or a different one?

I cant sync with either stock email or touchdown with Exchange 2003, it works fine either way with 2.1 but on 2.2 nothing works, i had this issue with my old HTC Desire when that went to Froyo Beta and only worked once official release came out

What is the battery life like compared to 2.1?

How stable is it?

Are there any issues worth noting? (e.g devices, apps not working, issues with applications etc)

And finally, what are the major benefits (besides being snappier and having flash support)

It's a helluva lot faster than 2.1. Fruit ninja is finally playable for me -

I've only had it crash once on me in 2 days - battery life is horrid and I don't know why. Camera doesn't work and wifi hotspot doesn't work/facebook sync still doesn't work.

Everything else is 100 percent for me.

Steve - excellent work, thanks to you for the Froyo work and all the other people who've posted up guides and hints to help with the upgrade. Finally feel pleased that I went with the Streak now I have working Flash 10.1. Doubtless resolutions for the minor issues will be found in due course. In the meantime, have a drink on me.
