It's a helluva lot faster than 2.1. Fruit ninja is finally playable for me -

I've only had it crash once on me in 2 days - battery life is horrid and I don't know why. Camera doesn't work and wifi hotspot doesn't work/facebook sync still doesn't work.

Everything else is 100 percent for me.

Thanks for the reply. Shame about the battery life as I would've liked to have used this however it's good to see that it's stable which is arguably the more important factor.

Just installed the V2 today and it was much easier than I thought it would be!

Has anyone tried the new Android Voice Search / Voice Actions yet? I couldn't find it in the Market, but I wasn't sure if that was just me, or because the ROM is tagged as a UK release. I would really like to get back to using my phone hands free in the car and voice commands is the ONLY think I miss about my iPhone.

i really need to get this working i have tried erveything it finds it fine on 2.1 roms and 1.6 roms

no but do you overwrite the one already in there or is it a adidtional file.

Ok have done it now steve only problem is now have to wait till friday when i go back to work to test it :) hooe it works i know one day it will i got a good days use out of the streak today 12hrs constant use with 3g data instead of wifi not bad though if i was using wifi i think i would of still had 40-50% battrey left.

Fine is an understatement. My battery needed to be charged 3x a day on 2.1, but with your 2.2 I have made it 3 days on one charge with wifi always on and streaming music in the car!

My battery has pretty much been the same. With moderate use of twitter, facebook, text and email i have used the same amount of battery as on 2.1. Well i wake up at 8am with 100% and sometimes on 2.1 with heavy use id get home at 6pm with 20%. Today i got home with 43%. Give me a day to properly email etc and thats the test.

UI is fantastic, the whole setup is amazing.

Steve I need your help really bad, My Streak is not working right from the past five days. At first, I was unable to install any apps from the market , getting a msg, "Download Unsuccessful" and if I would copy it in my card, I would get the msg, "Application not installed" All this happened all of a sudden for no Obvious reason at all, I though may be upgrading to froyo may solve this, I was on 2.1 at that time, so I copied update-new.zip and installed clockwork recovery, clockwork wouldn't even recognize my sd card and would say, Can't Mount SD Card, I tried so many times and finally it read my sd card and I installed the froyo update which was Successful. After that I was stuck on Dell Logo for 20 minutes. Now I tried to re-flash it but now Clockwork is again not recognizing my card saying "Can't Mount SD Card" I am very desperate and have been trying to make my streak work, I gave up on it yesterday but today I tried again, I am about to lose hope in my Streak, I really feel like it's never gonna work, Clockwork keeps saying Can't Mount SD Card and I cannot even get rid of Clockwork to go back to 1.6 because it just stays there and everytime I choose update from sd card Clockwork opens up :)

I need Your Help Steve, Please Help me :'(

I have literally followed all the guides on the web and none seem to make my Streak work, I have the Dell Streak AWS T-Mobile 3G Version...Help Please :)

try lowering the router MTU to 1400 and the beacon interval to 50. that should do it

Awesome work Steve. I upgraded from 2.1 leaked beta using CM recovery "flash any zip" and it worked perfectly.

I am getting the occasional orientation lock (in both directions) and have the Market App problem (I'm on a released US AT&T Streak).

Having the vanilla Froyo has been just awesome. I really hated every single Dell tweak bar none and I don't miss one of 'em. The build is fast, fast, fast! I'm running my LCD density at 200 (old eyes) so I don't need the "Big Fonts" hack which distorted some things so I'm liking that (although I realize that's not a 2.2 only feature but I found it in this thread).

My battery life is a little worse than on 2.1 (maybe 25% less) but the UI and speed enhancements (and Gmail improvements that were 2.2 only) are worth it. I'm getting psyched to invest in a copy of Titanium Backup for all the fun ROM's that you're kicking off!

For orientation lock issues, a band-aid solution I found was to enter sleep mode and exit it in the desired position. I am running the 'no lockscreen' app so I don't know if that affects things, but I haven't had to restart my phone over the issue since finding this out.

Guys, I have a problem with ADW launcher.

Did anyone notice that the ADW launcher stretches the wallpaper a lot? It appears to be kind of magnified. Does anyone know the reason for this?

I had this problem on 2.1 and I still have it on 2.2

If anyone has a solution for this, please let me know.

I found one but bombs out with an error before it can even get loaded. The file I found was "comgoogleandroidvoicesearch.apk". Does anyone have the latest version of voice search working on the V2 rom?

I'm having zero bugs at the moment (other than the droid x keyboard crashing).

However, I can't find Google Voice on the market. A direct QR code I found just brings up nothing. Market incompatibility?

I installed this ROM (great job by the way) and am amazed at how fast it is. It's very snappy and the only problem I've been having was with the market not showing all the apps. This was a bigger problem for me because I rely on google voice. I did some searching and was able to download the apk from another forum. I stuck it on the microsd, opened it from astro file manager and hit "install". It went right on and worked like a charm.

Just a simple work around for those of you out hunting specific applications. All you have to do is search for "google voice apk download" and you should be able to find it.

Thanks again for the great rom - really enjoying it and will report back about battery life tomorrow.

This is an issue with ADW cropping pictures and not the ROM or anything like that. Unfortunately we're SOL when it comes to this. There is a post somewhere where youd have to change the resolution of the picture itself to 800Xsomething, I'll attach it when I find the thread for you. But by doing that you wont need to crop part of the photo.

Have you tried a different SD Card? could be an issue with it.

Im assuming youre trying to get in to the STOCK recovery, if clockwork keeps popping up after selecting Option 2 then you'd need to flash the stock recovery again. Ive had this issue before and had to flash Stock recovery twice each time.

Dont give up on the Streak just yet, it's only getting better. =)
