Guest parcsalooc Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Quadrant 1302 Linpack 33.89 Neocore 16.1 Now is this actually speedier or is this a placebo effect that is j/making quadrant read faster
Guest gingernator Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 (edited) Angry birds is smoother as a result of this tweak. I'm happy Edited October 14, 2010 by gingernator
Guest maskaler Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Linpack 41.318 Your linpack scores are nuts - I noticed them on the devices page... You done anything else to your unit? It seems to fly :)
Guest maskaler Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Quadrant: am on FroYo version 1: changed the build.prop and got 1282, then changed the boot shell script and got 1352. Did both using root explorer. Good job guys!
Guest Reddy232 Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 i was just checking out this article, maybe it will help - http://lifehacker.com/5657727/whats-the-de...er-requirements Thanks a lot! Yea, I figured it was not because of the ROM but I did not know what was causing it.
Guest jamezwarner Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 (edited) From no quadrant result to 1393 (above nexus one :) ) 32fps neocore 32.24 linpack Edited October 14, 2010 by jamezwarner

Guest Flavio Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 (edited) My Quadrant highest score is 1425 but it varies a lot, I also got scores of 762? The same for Linpack, highest score is 31.528 MFLOPS, but I also got scores of 16. My highest Neocore score is 32.1 fps. BTW I have DPI set at 160. Edited October 14, 2010 by Flavio
Guest 323spoon Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Steve, Thanks for these latest updates! My quadrant wont complete 9 out of 10 times either so cant really say but the one time it did come up it was just short of the nexus one 2.2. Can i just ask, are there any up sides to the lcd density been set to 140 over the original? the only difference i can tell is it makes the top pull down bar only part the size of the screen. What was the default originally?
Guest Stephen Hyde Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 default for streak is 160. 140 i just like as it gives more room and space for web pages etc
Guest bostonguy Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 This is an issue with ADW cropping pictures and not the ROM or anything like that. Unfortunately we're SOL when it comes to this. There is a post somewhere where youd have to change the resolution of the picture itself to 800Xsomething, I'll attach it when I find the thread for you. But by doing that you wont need to crop part of the photo. I don't believe ADW has anything to do with cropping wallpaper. All Android wallpapers need to be 2xwidth x 1xheight so for our Streak's it's 960x800. When you select your wallpaper drag the "cropping" tool to cover the entire image, and it will look fine. Hope this helps.
Guest DJHope Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Hi. I have found that Titanium has issues if you use the Busybox from within the program, you will find that most programs when restored will FC. if you do a restore without data, your programs will be ok and just like fresh install with no settings or data. I had the problem and uninstalled the busybox from titanium and installed from market and was then able to restore my apps and data. Your gps and data problem is down to your APN settings. Try deleting any other prepay ones and set your main one as default. Thanks Andy i actually deleted my other prepay ones which seemed to solve the problems and then i saw your post!! :)
Guest Chaleman Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 (edited) Hi Guys. I'm on Steve beta1 Froyo, no flashing... I'm only getting Quadrant scores of 760.... How come you're getting such high scores? What am I doing wrong?? LOL Thanks, Carlos Update: Replaced beta1 boot.prop and init.qcom.post_boot with the latest ones from Steve, rebooted and got 1260 on Quadrant... Thanks! Edited October 14, 2010 by Chaleman
Guest popetodd Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 (edited) Nice mods! Quadrant = 1371 (better than a Nexus One 2.2+) (1405 on second run!) Linpack = 31.975 Now that is waaaaaay more like it! Edited October 14, 2010 by popetodd
Guest prawnballs Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Quadrant 1393 Really liking the 140 density although I now get a small bar of distortion at the top of YouTube vids. Any fix?
Guest User Error Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 (edited) love the new changes but having an issue with regards to sms: i use handcent as my client and have notifications for the stock messenger checked off yet they still run, i still get stock message notification in the status bar and stock ringtone. i tried a few others and had the same results, even tried removing mms.apk and could not get stock notifications to stop. edit: this is on v2 of the zip update with new changes posted earlier. had the same issue with the 1st version as well. anyone else experiencing this???? Guest tonymenocal Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Hey guys! In regards to the quadrant tests. FPS Rates look super good! However, my overall scores are way lower than your devices?? Could there be a difference between UK and US hardware. I have a US streak not more than 2 weeks old and even with the build.prop and the other bash file pushed, my quadrant scores are an even 800 now.. How do I improve these results. Linpack is also registering 31-32~mflops average. *I also experienced the quadrant test to skip over the cpu section of the test then FC sometimes... GRRRRRR... I cleared the Dalvic cache, and did not notice much of a change either... I dont want to score lower than the captivate :) :) lol btw no matter what I download now my browser wont let me download files... Every time I try to download the browser says unsupported even with crutch installed and astro manager set to download mode...? seems like its always a hit or miss..
Guest Cue_32 Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 ok folks, testing time anyone who has any skills with adb can try these changes ideally on the v2 update updated build.prop : http://downloads.streakdroid.com/djsteve/tester/build.prop updated init script : http://downloads.streakdroid.com/djsteve/t...om.post_boot.sh to install push build.prop to /system and push init.qcom.post_boot.sh to /system/etc this has pushed my quadrant score to within about 50 points of a 2.2 nexus one and increased neocore to 31fps and nenamark1 to 21fps (from ~15) could use others to test if it works too. remeber both files need pushing to see benefit also cheers to fards for parts of the build.prop changes Will this work on the 2nd Beta version update (not the current V2 provided in OP)?
