Guest jamezwarner
1.1 Running well, orientation issues (lcd density 160) cannot get it to rotate at all... Not sure if it's the new youtube update or 1.1, but youtube now no longer has the video corruption (green bar across top) Battery looks better Good job :P Edited October 27, 2010 by jamezwarner
Guest WonderRico
Hello everyone, FYI, i had the same issue with the auto-rotation. A factory reset fixed this issue for me.
Guest PaulVlagsma
auto-rotation fix. Remove the line busybox_1P8P1 sysctl -w kernel.sched_child_runs_first=1 from /system/etc/init.qcom.post_boot.sh I don't know why. But if this line is present the logcat shows: E/SensorHAL( 127): [WH Lee] sensors_data_poll:: mask is zero!! sActiveSensors:0 E/SensorHAL( 127): [WH Lee] sensors_data_device_poll-sensor_of_pick:0 D/SensorManager( 127): _sensors_data_poll() failed, we bail out. when you toggle Auto-rotate-screen in Settings/Display. It should show something like: I/WindowManager( 131): Setting rotation to 3, animFlags=0 I/ActivityManager( 131): Config changed: { scale=1.0 imsi=505/2 loc=en_GB touch=3 keys=1/1/2 nav=1/1 orien=2 layout=268435490 uiMode=17 seq=8} D/PhoneApp( 216): updateProximitySensorMode: state = IDLE I/PhoneApp( 216): proximitySensorModeEnabled = true D/PhoneApp( 216): updateProximitySensorMode: lock already released. Guest zeiger
no go man, once i lock it or open youtube app the rotate wouldn't work anymore.
Guest PaulVlagsma
Strange. Lock, youtube, reboot etc. work fine for me. busybox_1P8P1 sysctl -w kernel.sched_child_runs_first=0 (0 instead of 1) also works. You rebooted after the change, I presume. Guest zeiger
Yes i did, doesn't seem to work for me, using root explorer delete the line you mention but once i lock and unlock the rotate is not working again. Now trying factory reset. Will see how it goes.

Guest PaulVlagsma
I've tried a couple of times now. ...runs_first=1 and NO auto-rotate ...runs-first=0 and auto-rotate is fine. This is consistent for me. So, I've just set it to 0.

Guest zeiger
Ok guys, did you guys try playing a youtube video then rotate it in landscape mode. If you just open the youtube is fine but once you start playing a video it screen will struck that either portrait or landscape mode depending which mode you started the video.
