1.1 Running well, orientation issues (lcd density 160) cannot get it to rotate at all... Not sure if it's the new youtube update or 1.1, but youtube now no longer has the video corruption (green bar across top)

Battery looks better

Good job :P

auto-rotation fix.

Remove the line

busybox_1P8P1 sysctl -w kernel.sched_child_runs_first=1

from /system/etc/init.qcom.post_boot.sh

I don't know why. But if this line is present the logcat shows:

E/SensorHAL( 127): [WH Lee] sensors_data_poll:: mask is zero!! sActiveSensors:0

E/SensorHAL( 127): [WH Lee] sensors_data_device_poll-sensor_of_pick:0

D/SensorManager( 127): _sensors_data_poll() failed, we bail out.

when you toggle Auto-rotate-screen in Settings/Display.

It should show something like:

I/WindowManager( 131): Setting rotation to 3, animFlags=0

I/ActivityManager( 131): Config changed: { scale=1.0 imsi=505/2 loc=en_GB touch=3 keys=1/1/2 nav=1/1 orien=2 layout=268435490 uiMode=17 seq=8}

D/PhoneApp( 216): updateProximitySensorMode: state = IDLE

I/PhoneApp( 216): proximitySensorModeEnabled = true

D/PhoneApp( 216): updateProximitySensorMode: lock already released.

Strange.

Lock, youtube, reboot etc. work fine for me.

busybox_1P8P1 sysctl -w kernel.sched_child_runs_first=0

(0 instead of 1) also works.

You rebooted after the change, I presume.

Yes i did, doesn't seem to work for me, using root explorer delete the line you mention but once i lock and unlock the rotate is not working again. Now trying factory reset. Will see how it goes.

Thanks again for the fix :D

I've tried a couple of times now.

...runs_first=1 and NO auto-rotate

...runs-first=0 and auto-rotate is fine.

This is consistent for me.

So, I've just set it to 0.

Ok guys, did you guys try playing a youtube video then rotate it in landscape mode. If you just open the youtube is fine but once you start playing a video it screen will struck that either portrait or landscape mode depending which mode you started the video.

Glad to hear the auto-rotation issue is fixed. Did you guys notice anything else aside from the Youtube fix? Speed, Performance, 720P?

The fix works, except when you play a youtube video from the latest app, where it breaks auto rotate until next reboot...

James

Yeah same here, the fix worked for me as well but broke after playing a youtube video.

Thanks!

the youtube app plays with rotation itself so wouldln surprise me if it screwed things up - will probly make a fixed update in next few days

anyone with battery issues please download tempcpuv2 from market and add widget to desktoop and watch the cpu speed see if it scales back from 998

would people PLEASE stop suggesting setcpu - thats a temporary fix, im sorting out a fixed update as i type

edit: although having a copy of setcpu lying around may be a good idea for the furture when i manage to overclock this thing
