Guest Gopu Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Steve, thanks for the updated files Both files downloded at around 16-1.8MB/s Just one question : Does baseband upgrade improve performance ? If not what is the purpose ? Thanks once again
Guest Stephen Hyde Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 http://pastebin.com/jhw8FNr6 ok go into adb shell then run the following commands CAREFULLY cd /data busybox_1P8P1 rm -rf *[/code] then run ls and if it returns anything except lost+found run rm -r <name> where <name> is the folder name you see. then run reboot and wait

If not what is the purpose ? Thanks once again baseband is primarily to prevent flashing lights as the baseband and kernel must match , their could be other advantages like better battery etc but not confirmed
Guest mmmputch Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Hey Steve thanks for all your work! Can we still root the streak with this update?

Guest OrionBG Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 (edited) factory reset sometimes doesn wipe properly- passee try the instructions i just posted please You are right! For instance I still have the Black theme that I had installed on 1.1.1 Is there a way to wipe all partitions? maybe in CWR or throw ADB? Just an update! I formatted the /system patition with CWR and then flased the rom again! then Factory restore and the ROM Booted for under a minute! :) Edited November 4, 2010 by OrionBG
Guest Stephen Hyde Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 not easily a way to wipe no, and the newest androot is in rom already :)
Guest Cue_32 Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Hey Steve, just to update you on the status of my Streak. Beta AT&T unlocked running 1.1.1 Since the noBaseband update didn't work and kept bootlooping with flashing lights, I flashed back to 1.1.1 successfully. Fastboot and flashed the new baseband fine, flashed the Newbaseband.zip file and on Dell Logo for over 10 minutes now. Followed instructions to the T including Factory Reset immediately after flashing the new 1.2NewBaseband.zip ROM.
Guest mmmputch Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 not easily a way to wipe no, and the newest androot is in rom already :) Perfect, I will give it a shot and post my results in a little while. Thanks again!
Guest gillebob Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Steve, thanks for your ongoing fantastic work on this, you're the reason I've still got the streak. Just flashed 1.2 new baseband and lost my network (o2.ie) so flashed the old baseband version without any drama, except now I have the flashing lights. Ran quadrant at 1100 Ran neocore at 32 Ran linpack from 3.1 to 29.00 Loving the wife teather, thanks Steve.
Guest steflucrene Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Hi steve, I was in the V 1.1.1 version so I download the update-1.2.0-newbb.zip file and the http://build2.streakdroid.com/amss.mbn file...Well I think it's the goods files... reboot and fastbootmode -> flash amss.mbn OK reboot and flash the newbb.zip Ok reboot and reset factory Ok But the boot is waiting on the dell logo... So reboot in fastboot mode and try to launch fastboot logcat -> No device found... So I restart from the beginning ...same...Wait on dell logo since 20 minutes... So can I flash the V.1.1.1, I keep it on sd, with the new baseband ? Thanks
Guest gillebob Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Obviously that should read WIFI teather.. :)
Guest phjnky Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 ok go into adb shell then run the following commands CAREFULLY cd /data busybox_1P8P1 rm -rf * then run ls and if it returns anything except lost+found run rm -r <name> where <name> is the folder name you see. then run reboot and wait I had the same problem but this fixed it. The call waiting works now on AT&T with the new baseband and load. Thanks!
Guest Stephen Hyde Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 lol for those stuck at dell logo try my info on previous page also
