Hi

Well I bought one yesterday, and have managed to find my way around it a bit. Just a few problems on the way, mainly due to my ignorance. Having read a fair number of the posts, I'll add my experiences

Wifi connection - I have the problem that it disconnects when the phone is in standby, probably a good thing for power usage. I personally don't find it a problem to reconnect myself, but I am definitely not a power user:)

It does lose the cnnection at home sometimes though - even once 10 feet away from the router!

Proximity sensor - does not appear to work. I may need to take it back ;)

Email - After a while I managed to set up my gmail accout - I didn't do it immediately because I wanted to create a new one first to hold the messages from my various yahoo groups. ISTR that there was an option when originally setting up to leave messages on the server. Try as I might I can't find this option again - probably me being thick. If anyone can help me find it that would be great

Power - wellI'm using quite a lot by playing and setting up, plus I downloaded a few apps from the market today, but have only made 1 call - down to 47% at 9.30pm tonight

Sensitivity - no better signal than on my Nokia 3110c at home. Will be interesting to try the T-mobile signal when they get 3G access

My sat-nav blew up last week too, so that's another plus for getting this phone. Just got to sort out the voice guidance now, might go for copilot soon.

So far so good - it's certainly a lot cheaper than I thought I was going to have to pay for a new phone. The best thing is that the guy in the O shop (who worked very hard on the phone for me!) was able to set up a £5 a month data bundle - even though I'm on a Orange EQ Virgin contract which I've had for years, so paying only for calls, and it was a PAYG phone :)) I'll just have to make sure it starts on my next billing date!!

Thanks for the review Paul, it certainly made me go out and get it before they all went.

Paul (another one)
