Guest fishb00n Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 you'd be surprised how much better your phone is with froyo :-) and there won't be any stuttering again. i'm on gforums 2.2 as well.
Guest That-Guy Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 This happens in the Sound Recorder for me too ;)
Guest Lollingsgrad Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 MY CURRENT SOLUTION This seems to have eliminated all skipping for me when the phone's not doing anything, and almost all of it when I'm browsing etc whilst listening. Get MixZing, go to settings, set it so the equaliser remains on when music is in the background, also set the music buffer to huge. I believe this uses more battery however.
Guest targetbsp Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 I had trouble with the stock player skipping (though very rarely) but I've never had Poweramp skip. Poweramp also sounds a little better than the stock player. Soundbest Player sounds a lot better than the built in player but it does have plenty of other issues - not least of which is that it seems to just stop 10 to 15 minutes faster your screen has gone off - which makes it fairly useless.
Guest taine0 Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 I use power amp, It still skips once when my phone goes into lock mode, but it rarely skips during playback like i experienced with winamp (plus you can make the volume louder than stock mp3 with poweramp which is always a good thing) So i suggest poweramp, plus the widget looks awesome.
Guest pvtcody Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Have you tried Cube 3? http://www.androidguys.com/2010/03/23/app-review-3-cubed/
Guest toytown Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Mine used to skip several times an hour, sometimes for as long as 5seconds and it was very annoying. However after about 2 weeks of using it, it just stopped and works perfectly, im not sure what it could have been as i didnt really install many apps to it, i had to do a factory reset not long ago as i had some issues with the GPS and even after doing that it still works perfectly. I use the stock music player with the stock rom, for at least an hour a day.
Guest mrflibbles Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Have you tried Cube 3? http://www.androidguys.com/2010/03/23/app-review-3-cubed/ I like the GUI interface for Cubed (^3) but no FLAC support is the killer. PowerAMP remains the best player available.
