Guest malez Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Malez, what about the battery vs. the Acer leaks? Is it at least equal on same conditions? The v1.0 had worse battery. Better than 1.0 and a least equal to leak i think. Of course it always dependends on what you do with your phone. Note that acer UI elements consume more battery/ram (bubble notifications for exemple) but they are nice :)
Guest malez Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 What combination of customization did u choose? Really intereseting question.
Guest vanisleguy1976 Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Damn I'm envoius, how the hell did you do it! :) Seriously tho, any way I can try to debug this? After installing patch, I did the following: - went into LCR settings - selected "user interface" - switched "interface type" to "custom" - clicked "customize" - selected "bubble notifications" and "bubble notifications on top" - pressed "validate" button, then "quit/save" - went into "quick commands" menu and did a normal reboot If that doesn't work for you, I'm not sure what is wrong! Good luck :-)
Guest EvilSeph Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 (edited) Wow, bubble notifications definitely eat up the battery. I'm going to leave it on for a day or two and see if it changes/I like it enough to sacrifice some battery life. Thanks for the patch malez! Edited October 29, 2010 by EvilSeph
Guest vanisleguy1976 Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 As far as battery goes, I'm satisfied since installing JuiceDefender. It's really made a big difference for me. So if bubble notifications eat up a little more, to me it is a worthy sacrifice. I'm also thinking the option to skip songs with the camera button should offset any extra power consumption, since you don't have to wake up the phone to change your music :) :)
Guest Chewy11 Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 (edited) Hi I applied this patch this after noon and so far so good. I did no wipes but came straight from a nandroid and flashed 1.1 patch over 1.0. After first boot with 1.1 I left it 10 min then normal reboot. Got started and went straight to LCR setting and did custom UI bubbles followed by a normal reboot. No bubbles...so reboot and all is good. Set up restores and such then did custom UI again and put status bar on bottom ...liked that then went over and ran ADW over full Stream UI. 1 reboot after every change. Flawless so far. I'm gonna try to find the best power saver settings. Like the new Calculator. Thank you LCR!! Edited October 29, 2010 by Chewy11

Guest B4rt Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Does this have the acer ui lockscreen or just the notification bar?
Guest gwilo Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Thanks LCR Team for the update :) But I hate you all, last night I installed the new BIN and LCR F for the first time and updated, re-installed all apps, backed up and everything else. Then I wake up this morning and see an update :) If it was only one day earlier I could have done it all at once.

Guest alezzandro Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Ok, just updated but I lost transparency in notifications' menu, Am I the first to have this problem? what can I do?
Guest gwilo Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 I know it was just a simple update took all of five minutes to do but it would have been nice to do it all at once. Donation to follow :)

Guest sschrapel Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 had the stock 2.1 installed, flashed this over the top, was an epic failure, glitchy and wouldnt wake up from sleep, a total mess. updated to the latest stock acer froyo then put this over the top of that, perfect now. one question - how do i change the keyboard? it looks like in the LCR settings there are a couple others installed like the stock android one and some HTC one, but it seems i dont have an option in the normal settings under keyboard to change between them?
Guest rafbryant88 Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Customized it to my own needs, the rom rocks!!! How do i enable all the transition animations?? I know I could do it with spare parts, but is there any in built way to do it in the rom? Simply go to Settings>Display>Animation and select "All animations".
Guest alezzandro Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Hey so I'm the only person to have lost transparency in notifications' menu?? Noone had this problem?
Guest Master_T Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Really intereseting question. Tried various combos: a) Bubble notifications + notifications on top :) Bubble notifications + notifications on top + acer launcher c) Bubble notifications + notifications on top + acer launcher + acer dialer Nothing changes :)
Guest edhunter666 Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Will you provide a full 1.1 ROM?

Guest mmick Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 (edited) Will you provide a full 1.1 ROM? I´m waiting for that too :) Hopefully with that "bubble" issues corrected Edited October 30, 2010 by mmick
