I've some troubles with LCRsettings:

If I change the bootanimation, it works great, but all other settings don't works. Like theme ( they are not applied), UI ( Idem, it's always Android UI, if if choose custom or ACER UI, nothing append after a reboot ) or every script.

With LCR-F 1.0 I had no problems at all. After patching with 1.1, now I have reboots when: I use music player (stock, the phone reboots or half boots and then I can normally listen to music), I use gmaps (it happened once only, then it worked right).

With 1.0 no problems...

I you want to compare with 1.0, disable UI customisation. What are you ui settings ?

Does your application still have root access ? Are you sure Lcr settings have root access. In Superuser, remove lcr settings from list and give hom authorisation again.

I'll do it, but if LCRsettings can change the bootannimation, it have root access.

EDIT: nope, it's definitly not a root acces problem...

When you change a theme, how many pop up do you see ? I've only one who disappear very fast...

I have only the acer lockscreen (top bubbles seem to have some problems, when I tap on the notifications bar nothing happens: looks like there's a software touch calibration bug in that app =o ).

I'll try to put on the whole acer ui.

Almost the same for me : most of time I tapped and tapped but nothing comes.

Other issue : when I use the Acer Unlock I don't see clock, screen is empty. How could I have the clock?

Try to press on one of the icons, not the bar itslef.

To configure the lock screen, you have to run the Widget application

When changing the theme, you must have a progress dialog that displays "generating required files". It take about 5 seconds.

You say is it not a root access issue. What have you done to exactly to validate this conclusion ?

I just installed 1.0+1.1 patch over the latest stock Acer ROM.

Like previously mentioned, on my system there are issues with the LCR settings app, especially the tweak section and also applying changes to installed apps. However, these work okay when I enable USB debugging mode. Is there a reason this needs to be enabled and is there any downside to always leaving it enabled?

In Car mode, pressing phone or contacts results in "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force Close"

Another issue I've had is that the sync icon appears in the notification bar and never disappears. I have 3 google accounts setup. When I go into them in setup/account if something is syncing I get the syncing icon next to it but it is not animated. Even if no syncing icons are present, when I tap the menu button I get an option to cancel sync, never an option to sync. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a fix?

I've also got extremely poor performance from the mic in speakerphone mode (at normal distance and speaking voice it's barely audible and so quiet that it is often filtered out entirely). This makes speakerphone essentially useless, voice recognition extremely poor, and video recordings have low volume and very high hissing unless recording very loud scenes. This may be a defect in my particular phone but since I bought it from another user both my carrier and Acer are denying me warranty service. Is there any way to adjust the mic gain through software?

Thanks.

- I don't know why usb debugging must be enabled to have access to tweak section

- To use car mode, you have to use AOSP dialer (lcr settings / tweak)

- No issue in syncing (3 accounts too). When i press option, i have "sync now). In settings when an accoutn is syncing, i have animated icons. Have you restored you accounts with titanium ?

- I have made a recoding test. Recording my collegue that were discussing about 5 meters from me was ok (even if i was enable to undestand what the said, due to background noise), but speaking normally with my phone laid on my desktop was ok and well recorded).

Have you tried with usb debugging on ?

For me (usb debug on or off), it displays the mount windows that allow me if i want to mount. Do you have any ui customization on ?

Anyone else having this issue ?

- If you have issues applying UI changes, try to save/quit UI part in LCR settings and reenter in it. Settings will be reloaded from system. So what is checked when you access settings for the second time must be what will be applied. When you save, settings are first saved in a file called LCR_UI.txt on sdcard root before being copied to system. That is why sdcard must be writable when you save your settings.

Settings are registered correctly and get saved. I checked the file LCR_UI.txt and it is correctly configured. Still no sign of any changes on the UI, no matter what I do.

- With USB debugging off it will start "refreshing settings" but never finish. If attempting to add/remove an app it seems to work but the "applying settings" dialog never disappears and you must force close. If USB debugging is on, neither of these problems occur.

- I did restore all apps+data (backed up from the stock Acer ROM) using titanium backup. Should this cause a problem?

- I did test another Liquid E in a store and it seemed to work much better than mine so it's possible my mic is defective. However, I was just looking at the bug report section of your site and noticed someone else logged a similar issue with speakerphone mic being too low (note: I had this problem with the stock Acer froyo and the original official 2.1 that came with the phone). However, in his description he says it works fine for the first 20 minutes or so after a boot but after that becomes to low. Now I'm wondering if this is the case and the difference I saw in the store is due to that unit having just been booted up. Can you try again after the phone has been booted for over 30 minutes (if it wasn't already)? In any case, is it possible to add a control to directly change mic gain in order to overcome possible hardware issue?

Thanks!

- So usb debugging must be turned on. I have turned it off on my phone and had the issue !! (cool) Now i know what command makes this happen : that is the pm command that hangs when usb debug is off.

- If you have restored all apps and data with titanium, it could be the reason. Try to do a factory reset and configure your accounts manually. The check if the problem still occur. After that restore your application but only non-system apps

- I have checked again mic (my phone is booted since hours). It is still ok. Changing mic gain will certainly require a kernel modification and we still do not have kernel sources.

I have the same issue....

But it is not limited to LCR, I had this issue before in 2.1.

Still don't have any solution on this yet so I just tried to ignore it........

check any apps you have installed.

some apps activate a (hidden?) auto-mount setting.

i know winamp is one of those, but you can disable it in the app's setting screen.

OMG, you are right, it is Winamp...... :)

when an app requires "modify global system settings" permission, always check the app's settings screen.

(i actually have the habit of checking the settings screen no matter what, who knows what kind of interesting things are hidden there)

Here you go

ok, your insallation was not completly done. Here is the solution.

adb shell ins_run checkUI.sh checkUI.sh

After that evehting should work fine.
