Hi all, my phone keeps shutting off itself after I flashed LCR-F 1.0, it runs smooth but it suddenly shuts off randomly.

Any advice?

Are you sure you have flashed the right bin file ?

Be sure to wipe ext partition sdcard before installing if you have already used apps 2sd

- So usb debugging must be turned on. I have turned it off on my phone and had the issue !! (cool) Now i know what command makes this happen : that is the pm command that hangs when usb debug is off.

- If you have restored all apps and data with titanium, it could be the reason. Try to do a factory reset and configure your accounts manually. The check if the problem still occur. After that restore your application but only non-system apps

- I have checked again mic (my phone is booted since hours). It is still ok. Changing mic gain will certainly require a kernel modification and we still do not have kernel sources.

I did a factory wipe and reconfigured my accounts manually and this did fix the problem. I just restored user apps from the Titanium backup but redid all the system settings by hand. More of a pain but at least it works. Plus I had to change the account Android was using for Google Checkout and a factory reset was the only way to do that anyway. On the plus side I've now learned to use nandroid backup before doing anything else!

Would you mind if I send you a couple of sample recordings from my phone for you to compare the audio level? Trying to get service may be a major undertaking and I want to be sure there is a real hardware issue before I do so. It's always possible I've just been spoiled by my motorola phones that sound so good I just don't realize how crappy an average phone sounds like...

What application have you installed just before having this issue. It must be relative to an application you have isntalled.

If you noticed a difference between your phone and the one you tested in a store, the relatively low quality of the Liquid is not the reason.

Did you check if the microphone hole is not clogged with dirt ?

I have a request, and i think that a lot of other people will have it as well. I use acer ui with ADW on top. Now i know that if i use full acer ui (with breeze launcher), I can access all the recent apps on the left homescreen, and that is why they have probably disabled the feature where one can long press the home key to access the list of recent apps. But i don't use breeze and really miss this shortcut. Any possible fixes (or workarounds)???

To configure the lock screen, you have to run the Widget application

Are you talking about the "Horloge" widget (French version)? Strange, I can't find it now. I can only find the ugly analog timer.

I can find an "horloge" app (semi squarred icon) showing time/date dans weather. But no setting regarding lock screen.

I'm sure to have such widget in the past. Could I have accidentally delete??? If so how can I get it back?

Try to press on one of the icons, not the bar itslef.

Everywhere on icons or bar don't change anything.

Quick question for Malez:

First off, I'm loving LCR with the 1.1 patch. Lots of useful features and tweaks :-)

One tweak I'd like to address is the camera button to skip songs. It's fantastic, and I love it!... Except one thing. If I'm not currently listening to music, it would be nice if the button would auto disable. It's a bit frustrating when you aren't listening to music and you inadvertently push the camera button and suddenly your pocket starts playing a song (especially if you're in a meeting or at church or some such place)

That aside, great ROM and great work :-)

I am aware of this. Unfortunaly pressing the button will jump to next song even if song is not currently playing. There is no way to handle this for the moment.

I have a small wifi problem. I am not sure if it is related to the LCR_F, but maybe someone has an idea. So when i switch on the wifi practically nothing happens. I have a wifi at home or at my workplace and my phone should connect automaticly, after turning on the wifi but it cant. The strange thing is, when i enter the wifi settings it says obtainin IP adress, but under that line it says so wifi connection available. So i have to push the scan button several times to make the device find the network. After that it can connect automaticly. So it is alittle bit strange, and seems to be a software bug, but iamnot sure. It's not a big thing, but maybe u have idea how to fix it.

And i have applied the patch as well.

I never had this kind of trouble. Users that had this problem don't have it anymore after wiping and reinstalling their application without data. It must be relative to one app you have installed.

Nandroid backup, factory reset and retry. Then tell me if you still have the issue after that. If yes, restaure your backup
