I never had this kind of trouble. Users that had this problem don't have it anymore after wiping and reinstalling their application without data. It must be relative to one app you have installed.

Nandroid backup, factory reset and retry. Then tell me if you still have the issue after that. If yes, restaure your backup

I tried it, and it works after wiping. Then I restored All my apps with titanium and I have the problem again, now I don't have time to search for the "bad app" so its a problem I have to live with, and it's not a big problem for my type of use. If you discover which app is the "bad" one just say it :)

Dolby was included in LCR-S 1.7 that was running on liquid. It is not hardware dolby but software.

If you noticed a difference between your phone and the one you tested in a store, the relatively low quality of the Liquid is not the reason.

Did you check if the microphone hole is not clogged with dirt ?

I checked the mic hole and it looks clean and then I blew it out just to be sure. I did some more test recordings with voice recorder. It's worse when playing back from the device as the speaker, especially at full volume, isn't great and you need to turn it all the way up to hear anything. I tried transferring the files to my computer where they actually sound somewhat better. The issue is unless I put the mic next to my mouth, in which case there's a lot of distortion, the sound level is rather quiet and the tone is a little muffled sounding too (this is true even in normal phone calls). There's also a high level of background noise (sounds like static or white noise, not ambient noise) which makes my speech harder to understand. If I talk in a louder voice it's almost acceptable, but in my normal voice (which admittedly is on the quieter side) it's pretty poor. Speech recognition is practically useless. Hard to say if that's generally the case, but from what I've read it's supposed to be surprisingly good, at least under optimal conditions. I suspect the low signal to noise of the recordings makes it much harder for Google to figure out what I'm saying...

I guess I'll try to get it serviced as it doesn't sound like this is a general issue with the model. I'm afraid it may be impossible to get warranty service though, so I may just have to live with no speakerphone/recording. Whenever I actually remember to bring my bluetooth headset, at least that seems to work.

I haven't really used the google speech features but for testing purposes I decided to give it a try to reply to this post. I'm not editing any of the messages so whatever comes through is exactly the way google recognizes it. when I speak it to give me a couple of options as to what it thinks I said and you're able to go through and figure the best choice. so far I've had the microphone approximately 8 inches from my mouth. now I'll try to move it a little further away and see what happens. I'm now arm's length from my health. that was supposed to read I'm holding arms length from my mouth.it seems to me that the most important thing when using this feature is to speak very slowly and very clearly and make sure you annunciate each word. I really cannot see using this feature on a daily basis. but it is a very interesting feature. Perhaps in the future once it has been refined a little bit oh we will see people using it on a regular basis.

It's never mounted by itself unless you have third party apps...

There is a settings in winamp to disable auto mounting (unfortunatly they have enabled it by default)

Hi,

I have a small wifi problem. I am not sure if it is related to the LCR_F, but maybe someone has an idea. So when i switch on the wifi practically nothing happens. I have a wifi at home or at my workplace and my phone should connect automaticly, after turning on the wifi but it cant. The strange thing is, when i enter the wifi settings it says obtainin IP adress, but under that line it says so wifi connection available. So i have to push the scan button several times to make the device find the network. After that it can connect automaticly. So it is alittle bit strange, and seems to be a software bug, but iamnot sure. It's not a big thing, but maybe u have idea how to fix it.

And i have applied the patch as well.

This is great news.

I have a "glitchy" 3.5-jack and the ONLY way to get any sound from it is to use a 1.7.x-ROM which has dolby surround.

For some strange reason the almost silent sound (when not in dolby) gets through when I activate dolby(but I get a hollow mono sound even then. But much better than nothing).

So until dolby gets ported to LCR for Froyo I'm stuck on Eclair!

It's just simply great that there are people like you Malez, otherwise I would have been more or less forced upgrade to another phone. Now I can hold on to the Liquid until next spring (when dual core, frontfacing camera etc is coming to android).

Today I used my liquid as mp3 player. Camera button is great to skip song, but please can you add some tweak to avoid issue when pressing accidentally camera button whenwe don't play any music? It happend to me and it's a bit weird to have the liquid starting to play music...

I am aware of this. Unfortunaly pressing the button will jump to next song even if song is not currently playing. There is no way to handle this for the moment.

Not a complete solution, but I realized that if I reboot the phone after listening to music, the camera button stops making music play, at least until the next time you launch music.

Small price to pay considering the sheer awesomeness of LCR.

Just backup your DCIM folder onto your pc.

Delete from the sdcard, and try. it helps sometimes.

If the tweak menu does not open, check that you have usb debugging on (diasble/enable it).

Fix gallery should no affect your new picutre, it just delete thumbmail cache, so there are regenerated. I have used fix gallery rith now to check. First gallery run takes time but picture are good.

As B4rt told, maybe you should check your sdcard content.
