Guest malez Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 +1. Ran on Linpack, all scores seems to be in the range of LCR-F 1.1. BTW Malez, live wallpapers really lags on LCR-F compared to MIUI. Installed both with LauncherPro (same version), turned off all sensors and ran the same live wallpaper. No widgets or background programs were running. Could you reset each launcher configuration to test please. It may be relative to some of the launcher conf.
Guest Koki1337 Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 Could you reset each launcher configuration to test please. It may be relative to some of the launcher conf. Yes, =\ It's not as smooth as MIUI is, sorry.
Guest pgr79 Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 thanks for the update, it runs smoothly after a wipe cache / dalvik cache
Guest Small_Hacker Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 why 1.1.1 slower than 1.1 ? I have not flashed yet...

Seriously, does Quadrant or Linpack scores make you orgasm? Sometimes the methods used by these apps to benchmark doesn't fully utilize what you got. It's like you have a car that goes 300km/h but the examiner wants you to ride a bike despite that you don't know how to.

I ran the quadrant professional version which provide the score breakdowns. Quadrant CPU score for 1.1: ~2500-2800 Quadrant CPU score for 1.1.1: ~1300-1500 For Memory, I/O, 2D and 3D graphics. They are very similar. Also I checked the Sunspider Javascript score on my browser, which provide similar score as well. If the AAC section draw the score down, does it imply that version 1.1.1 will consume more CPU power while playing the eAAC/AAC song? Thank you

Guest japlha Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 Anyone try this on the Acer Liquid from Rogers? I flashed it with LCR-F_1.0-signed.zip. It seems buggy to me. The buttons seem to be laggy. Setting up wifi in the initial setup screens is a pain. I could not type numbers for my wifi password. It would freeze up then just move back a screen. Clicking backspace also move me back a screen. Changing the keyboard to HTC_IME mod allowed me to type numbers. But after I enter my password it stays stuck at "Obtaining IP address..." and never gets an ip address. Flashing back to stock Rogers image using my nandroid backup I can get an IP address. I've done this scenario about 5 times so I know I'm not typing in the wrong password. Some buttons are buggy. Anytime I press the menu button it just blacks out the screen then returns me to the main screen. If I let the phone sit a minute it blacks out and does not respond. I have to take the battery out to get it to reboot. Some of the utilitiy tools don't work. Quickboot->Reboot asks for su access which I allow then I select Reboot again and it does nothing. Maybe Rogers tweaked the phone a bit to not allow custom ROMs?

Guest Shaliuno Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 Does anyone experience the issue when your device wakes up after a while, it does not reconnect WiFi automatically? I have to go to WiFi management and force connect it by hand. Or maybe its somehow connected with WiFi scan period in LCR? 60 seconds i guess?
Guest Harness Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 Maybe Rogers tweaked the phone a bit to not allow custom ROMs? Impossible without blocking their own updates as well[i think!] (they're getting the 2.2 official upgrade) Besides, I have a rogers phone and run LCR-F 1.1 np.

Basing a conclusion on a global average value had no sense. Your details are just the proof that the only thing that is slower is aac decoding. I can't tell anything about battery consumption when playing aac song as i have not compared but that will be the only element that should eventually affect battery usage (if it is) Edited November 7, 2010 by malez
Guest malez Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 Besides, I have a rogers phone and run LCR-F 1.1 np. but you have flashed the froyo bin first :)
Guest Morris Lee Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 That is normal if you have enable some UI customisation. Disable ui cutomisation if you really want the full themed clock. Is there a way to make it fit? I actually like the solid black overe the default one :) The acer's lock screen makes the phone wake really slow(takes a longer time for the screen to come back on from screen off)
Guest crazycage Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 I'm having trouble with uninstalling integrated apps using LCR settings... It just hangs and hangs and hangs saying its uninstalling but nothing happens. I tried removing launcher pro and now its like half-uninstalled or something and I can't even reinstall overtop anymore. It just says installation unsuccessful. Is there an easier way to remove the programs manually from the system?
Guest gwilo Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 (edited) I am also on a Rogers phone I have no problem Flashed BIN 4.504b.00_EMEA-GEN1_05.01.05 Rooted with Recouvery 6.1 LCR F and both updates everything works fine Can type in WiFi Passwords using the Acer (stock) keyboard without problems (now if I can only figure out how to surf on WiFi only) Edited November 7, 2010 by gwilo
Guest Pegli Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 Hi, could you tell me if is it possible to install the LCR 1.0 (plus patches) over the new leak 4.002.08_EMEA-GEN1_05.01.05? Thanks!!!

Thanks!!! I'm running LCR-F 1.1.1 over 4.002.08_EMEA-GEN1_05.01.05, so yes, it works! EDIT: Since 1.1.1 is "fully rebased on Acer_LiquidE_4.504b.00_EMEA-GEN1", I am curious if this mean that it will run better on 4.504b.00 than on 4.002.08? Guest edhunter666 Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 Will there be a fully updated LCR-F sometime in the near future or are you (LCR-team) waiting for new leaks or working on LCR-F 1.2 maybe?

Yawn... In the first post, in big bold letters, Malez says: "LCR-F 1.1.1 PATCH (this is a cumulative patch, apply it on top of LCR-F 1.0 or LCR-F 1.1. Full rom will be provided later)
Guest edhunter666 Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 I know, i'm just hoping to get a slight timeframe..
Guest gmupps Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 I know, i'm just hoping to get a slight timeframe.. It'll be done when it's done. Be patient and enjoy the excellent rom we currently have.
