Thanks Chewy,

I got 1.1.2 installed and working great except for one thing. My top status bar shows a sync icon constantly (circular arrows icon). It just won't go away! lol.

Anyone else experiencing this?

just for the first few minutes right?

if not then check this : menu >settings>accounts and sync, and uncheck ,,,this also saves a bunch of battery drain.

Had this problem due to restoring my accounts from Titanium backup. The only solution I found was to wipe the device then setup my accounts again manually. You can do a Titanium backup before you wipe (and a Nandroid backup just to be safe), then wipe, then setup your accounts, the restore the rest of your apps and settings from your Titanium backup. It's the account settings that seem to be problematic.

If you didn't restore your account with Titanium, then I don't know what the issue is but the wipe procedure above will most likely fix it.

I use Google sync and appbrain. I recommend appbrain(WITH WIFI). Their app sync is great. After I only restore data that is needed from Titanium Backup.

i flashed LCR-F 1.0 and the patch 1.1 a few day before. Apps2sd is enabled immediately after flashing the rom. I can see the apps2sd is enabled in LCR setting but not in the recovery. The recovery said "everything is stored in your phone" or something like that.

Can anyone tell me how to solve the problem? I partitioned my sd into 1024MB EXT2 and 6400 FAT32.

Sorry, my english sucks .. I try to explain better.. widget overlay is the application called widget in the drawer. It does not appear in installed applications, because it's a system application. You can find it in Impostazioni-->Applicazioni-->Servizi in esecuzione. To uninstall it, you must manually remove WidgetOverlay.apk in /system/app, using root explorer (or something like that) or adb. Do a nandroid first!!

I hope to explain myself better this time.

Just beacause if you don't use ACER_UI, all acer UI components will really be disabled in the rom. So they are not present is system/app anymore if you don't use them

Today I remebered about the proximity sensor high battery drain problem. I've disabled the proximity sensor since we have discovered the problem. I tried to enable it on the latest lcr-f version (1.1.2), and the issue remained the same.

Since I have the 4.504b bin, could anyone with the latest bin (4.002.08) try it and see if when calling the battery usage of android system is high?

Thanks!

Will this rom support swap memory?

Nop, it's not ready for swap on SD or ramzswap.

The kernel have to support swap, and Acer have not activate it.

Waiting for new (froyo) kernel source to be release to build a custom one.

Hi Malez,

I'm loving your ROM! So far everything is working AWESOME for me except for one issue:

My volume of speakerphone is extremely LOW during a call even though the phone incall volume is set to maximum. Is there anything I can do about that or will a patch be required to fix it?

I am running LCR-F 1.1.2. I have also noticed the Google Navigation volume is NOT loud/fixed as described in the latest patch but maybe its related to the same speakervolume issue. Music volume playback through speaker is great and very loud, its just calling volume which is the issue.

Please help, I can never use speaker ...

Thanks.

For the incall volume, try the "hearing aid" in the Call parameters.

For the volume in navigation, as described in the latest patch, you have to disable the "new codec" option in LCRSettings.

try Fix permissions in LCR Settings

nope, that doesn't work.

and now I'm getting a FC on Messages (com.android.mms) at startup (just one time).

I've restored all my sms data in the last boot, I dunno if that could be the problem.

i tried reinstalling lcr via malez (that works) wiped all

I tried installing other roms

I tried nandroid restore.

Nothing works

Is there anyone on this forum who can help me? I think i need to install bind again, maybe that works. But i don't know how without usb mounted to pc.

Hi, gratz for the roms, is wonderful!

i've only a strange problem.

i've set the acer ui lock screen, and i use the launcher pro home.

but, when i put the phone on stand by (black screen), the phone goes out from the stand by without any reason.

seems same that some application need the phone not in stand by for update

the only application that i've set are fb, weather and h3g widget for credit, but are all with 60 minutes for update.

i don't understand why the phone doesn't take the stand by.

thankx for help in advance

I hope it is not a hardware usb connector problem but it could be.

Are you able to access fastboot when battery is removed and usb is plugged ?

the official 2.2 froyo is out includes kernal source(i think that is the kernal source), does this mean we are going to get a LCR-F update soon with OC? !!!

As far as I know, the acer's froyo kernel source code hasn't been released yet.

kernel source is never released with an official rom because people wouldn't know what to do with it, and wouldn't have a use for it in most cases anyway.

it's always released through a separate method, and generally a short(or sometimes long) period after release of the rom itself.
