Guest BlackMagician Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 Battery drain seems to be on the heavy side. 93% after 20 minutes left on the desk with wifi on. :)
Guest akira.pwr Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 (edited) Froyo leaks are very very battery friendly, can people with this LCR 1.0 comment on: - battery life - heat - Quadrant / other benchmarks? I would like to know how LCR v1.0 performs vs. latest Leak Quadrant gave me 736 on the best run of today, heat isn't so bad, tonight after flash and recharging was a little hot, but not too much, for battery life it's soon to give info. I miss acer UI... Edited October 8, 2010 by akira.pwr
Guest mmick Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 Battery drain seems to be on the heavy side. 93% after 20 minutes left on the desk with wifi on. :) 7% just after 20 minutes on the desk with wifi on??? That´s a lot... Malez, what improvements have you done for the heat/battery consumption being higher than on the default leak? On my side, I rather have a clean, optimized ROM that gives me good performance than a stellar ROM that spends too much energy.
Guest Small_Hacker Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 If i flash this LCR over the latest leak rom Will i lost anything that improved from the latest leak rom e.g radio version is upgraded from 1.0 to 2.0 .. will i finally get 1.0 ? poor english.....hope you can understand
Guest Chewy11 Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 +1........... +1 MERCI MERCI MERCI !
Guest BlackMagician Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 I switched wifi off when I posted that last message. Guest malez Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 I am looking at the possible reason of battery consumption and I have an idea of the reason. I am testing a patch.
Guest skakz Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 is it possible reduce aptic feedback vibration?
Guest malez Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 is it possible reduce aptic feedback vibration? No but you can disable it
Guest tc4101 Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 using this rom with 4.504 works great. this LCR rom fixes my issue with missing apps on market place.
Guest malez Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 (edited) I switched wifi off when I posted that last message. It's only gone down another 1% since then. So it look better. You must know that on froyo, when wifi in on and screen is turned off, wifi stay active for 15 minute. This can be change in wifi advanced paramerters. Wifi is a really high battery consumer Edited October 8, 2010 by malez

Wifi is a really high battery consumer on my one it only has option 15minute, never and never when plugged in. so 15minute is the shortest avaialable time anyway?

Guest Master_T Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 (edited) This rom is incredibly smooth, but I have the wierdest of bugs: whenever I switch the phone off, when I turn it back on it doesn't boot up. It vibrates and the "Acer" logo appears for a second, but then the screen goes black and it doesn't boot. I have to remove and reinsert the battery, and at that point it boots up correctly. EDIT: looking more closely, it appears the screen doesn't really turn off, just the backlight does. However, it still doesn't boot, it stays stuck with no backlight at the Acer logo.... hoep someone finds a fix for this... if I can help in any way to identify the problem, please let me know how. Guest Ramdanih Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 This rom very fast n smooth.. :-) But, battery consumption is very fast too.. And I think, LCR TEAM need designer for create this ROM more beauty.. :-)
Guest Liquidini Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 i had the battery consumption problem with koudelka cm 6.1 but after one day the consumption fixed and its very smooth. maybe its a indexing or something?
Guest peanut67 Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 What happened to swap/ramszwap? I miss it :-) Apart from that - great ROM! Thanks for your work!

Guest L0cu7us Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 ramzswap is impossible to implement without kernel sources as OC.... classic linux swap seems unable to be used under froyo while is possible under eclair, dunno why...
Guest HIN_____ Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 ramzswap is impossible to implement without kernel sources as OC.... classic linux swap seems unable to be used under froyo while is possible under eclair, dunno why... so.. we won't have any swap or OC until Acer gives us the froyo kernel sources? if this is the reason, sorry for asking such a stupid question. :)
Guest Güilzom Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 I am looking at the possible reason of battery consumption and I have an idea of the reason. I am testing a patch. Same problem here... can u include in the patch the option to choose Acer UI... some of us like it...
Guest L0cu7us Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 so.. we won't have any swap or OC until Acer gives us the froyo kernel sources? if this is the reason, sorry for asking such a stupid question. ;) correct :)
Guest KeruDoitsu Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 Same problem here... can u include in the patch the option to choose Acer UI... some of us like it... Can we have a patch or something to reinstall acer ui? I pretty love it in leaks, but I love your ROM. Thx =)

Guest malez Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 But you must know that acer UI will really slow down the rom if you want it.
