Guest fear_factory84 Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 Thank you very much. It works well. Now we will have to manage to free more space in order to integrate updates/tweaked apps Perhaps you could create an additional "pack" with apks for other apps... I hope that now that official gingerbread sources are out, they fix all the minor issues in the gingerbread keyboard port..
Guest L0cu7us Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 the ratings are broken for me too must be a rom issue tough anyone can test if they are broken also for 'pure' froyo leak/official ?
Guest malez Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 anyone can test if they are broken also for 'pure' froyo leak/official ? I am still able to rank apps, so it must be a google issue, not a rom one
Guest Koki1337 Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 I am still able to rank apps, so it must be a google issue, not a rom one There's a problem though When I get in the app, it took some time to load and nothing showed up. As shown in videos though the Market's main page has apps scrolling at the top

Guest Down to earth Swede Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 (edited) ]Houston, we've got a problem! For some reason, all the apps that I have "app2sd;ed" have stopped functioning(or seems to). I noticed it when I had problems starting up the phone with "Scandinavian keyboard" and "Titanium Backup" refusing to start. And loads of other things giving back errors. Seems like it partially went back to the default install where I get the screen where I am prompted to enter my gmail account (and language settings adn so on). This went away when I choosed to not do anything and also uninstalled "Scandinavian keyboard" (which almost stopped me from starting up the system). Anyway, seems like all the apps that I moved to SD are gone (or seems to be gone) from the drawer. Everything! I have both used the apps2sd from LCR (in the recovery) and also moved the rest with the application settings (the one that is the default for Froyo, I guess). What should I do? Happens to me too But I am on the 4.002.14 .bin and LCR1.1.2 is currently based on 4.504b.00, so such events are not unexpected. I use Appbrain, Titanium Backup and the Google cloud to make sure I dont loose the important stuff. My SD ext (with apps )seems to get wiped once in a while with the hard reboot events and sometimes in a soft reboot....all expected for me cuz I'm on the wrong bin...device works 100% tho otherwise with that .bin-ROM combo. When I run LCR-F 1.1.2 on the corect .bin....its perfect, no reboots, I recomend it. I undersatand LCR-F 2 will be based on 4.002.14 .bin.... I have forgotten how to tell which version of the of the bin I'm on right now. I can only see that the baseband version is "A1-05.01.05" Which version should be the "current" one that doesn't have these type of problems? I also use the exact same apps (Appbrain, Titanium Backup and the Google cloud), but I don't wanna lose some gamessaves in "Angry Birds". Is there any hope of restoring the gamesaves from "app2d";ed apps? I mean is there any path or cache of things that I should copy after I "resurrect" the system. I only have an older nandroid backup lying around from an earlier state (before any iimportant app settings, gamesaves etc) It would be frusrating, to say the least, to start all over a third time with the d-mn birds now that I was a very long way into the last levels in the original (and was working on the holiday version). I know, I know it's just a silly game but it's almost to the point of being "But will it run Crysis?" for smartphones when it comes to hardware/Software... "And it can run angry birds", the salesperson says.... Funniest thing since... well almost anything when it comes to games, I think. I just wish apps2sd for android was funny too, now it's the "Nandroid blues" that I have to play. With that I mean I have to do a proper nandroid backup at least every 3;d day or so, but I guess it's an extremely low price to pay for an open system. And it's absoulutely fantastic that we are able use Froyo with our (now) outdated S100;s thanks to all the great people like Malez, Benham and the like! Guest Barleyman Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 I have a simple question about upgrading from LCR-E to LCR-F. I tried looking for answer in this thread and LCR wiki but failed.. So what to do with the EXT2 partition when you go to Froyo? Froyo is supposed to support installing to SD by itself so I should just reformat the SD card and get rid of the ext2 partition? Remove enough apps that you can fit everything to phone memory and disable app2sd 1st on malez? Finally restore apps with titan backup after upgrading to LCR-F 1.1.2? Maybe there should be upgrading from LCR-E topic in the wiki..

Guest MisfitGeek Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Strange, but today when I give a look to the market, it was the new one, more stylish (but less simple imo) and as raised by some : no more rating!!! But I don't do any manual update, this new version comes by itself... I just noticed 3mo of data today even if I really not used my liquid. I try to asked to friend of mine using a SGS under froyo...
Guest HustlinDaily Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Same issue for me. Google pushed the market update to my phone and star ratings are missing. Soo shitty.
Guest malez Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Same issue for me. Google pushed the market update to my phone and star ratings are missing. Soo shitty. In new market, ranking are in accessible in "my application", then select the app and you will be able to star it. (So only installed app can be ranked)
Guest Barleyman Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 No one has opinion whether ext2 partition should be removed when you upgrade lcr-e to lcr-f? Does LCR-f use app2sd? At least people complain about it... Any benefit over standard Froyo sd usage?

This is automatically done by the LCR-F installer. apps2sd is faster than standard froyo apps2sd
Guest neelio Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 I have flashed straight to LCR-F, but stuck on the android screen on 1st boot, how long do you have to wait on 1st boot?

(So only installed app can be ranked) isn't the problem more that an app's ranking isn't shown? that's a change in market though, and not a bug. you need to view all comments in order to see the rating.

I don't think that's true. Take a look at this: http://www.xda-developers.com/wp-content/u...515-351x600.png By the way, did anyone notice the loading circle thingy in market also looks strange?

On my phone rating are replaced by an animated picture, strange So that's the issue almost everyone is having... How could this happen all by itself? Issue occurs on LCR-F as well as FroyoMetal, I've tried both.

Some apps disappeared forever, some came ha k couple of days ago... and also not all apps can be moved. After I tried lcr way. Simple to set up throughmalez boot, zero default and all apps can move.
Guest Chewy11 Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 No stars in my new market either...and I have no stars in individual installed apps, can only see my rating??? Malez-So optimal setup would be to flash appropriate .bin, install your current recovery,do wipes, and during same session, flash LCR-F. My current ext partion was "created" by me in the recovery. Would I be faster and-or more stable if I reformatted my SD? I would backup my current fat 32 partition SD content on my external hard drive and reload backups and media after your installer does its thing?

So there's still use for the EXT2 partition with froyo. "Faster" is because FAT32 vs ext2? Does App2SD work exactly same way otherwise as froyo App2SD feature? After I have flashed LCR-F 1.0, can I flash LCR 1.1.2 patch immediately on without booting into phone mode? Edited December 22, 2010 by Barleyman

Yup I remember Malez saying that it would better to do as much as possible in one recovery session. So do it all, then reboot.
Guest jnemeth Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 Yup I remember Malez saying that it would better to do as much as possible in one recovery session. So do it all, then reboot. Hi, I hope there is somebody here at xmas time as well... :( So I'm just about upgrading my phone from LCR 1.8.2.2 to LCR F 1.0. I have malez 0.6 recovery. I have a clean sd card, partitioning done already. Flashing the rom with malez recovery was okay, I booted the phone and just realized I didn't upgrade the patch what I also wanted. But since then I simly couldn't get into recovery. Not with quick boot menu either. Phone randomly switches off, I need the remove battery to boot it again. From my computer, I couldn't go into recovery either - maybe I'm doing something wrong. Please help, it looks like my phone is about dying on me... ;) Thanks...
