Did you flashed a Froyo bin before? :(

Surely not...

So, how to make it working again? ;)

I was reading something about this but I have skipped, I don't know why.

Well,follow these steps :

Download this file and unzip the bin: http://hotfile.com/dl/85026192/c30f5fd/4.0...56_bin.zip.html

Follow this guide to flash it on your phone: http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...-acer-liquid-e/

Flash latest version of Malez Recovery

Flash LCR-F

;)

The bin I linked is only for Acer Liquid A1 (256 MB), I suppose you own that ;)

Yes, that's what I have.

Actually I have started to so something similar. I just download the latest bin and would like to flash it with acer download tool.

I already have malez recovery 0.6 - will it remain working on my phone after flashing this bin?

Then I plan to flash the LCR-F again, yes.

Thanks for your help anyway. To be honest, I did a lot of trick of my phone before with success. I don't know how I did screw this up now...

Edit: and I have flashed that bin, everything went okay until the very end and now the download tool is saying that fastboot is successful but nothing happens for about 10 minutes. I don't unplug usb, don't even touch anything. I hoped I was over the worst things but it is scaring now. ;)

After flashing the bin,you need to reinstall Malez recovery,it will be removed during flash :(

Yes, I would be happy to do that but this flashing does not want to end simply. ;)

How can I be such a dumb? I hope I did not kill my phone.

To solve the random reboots and the lack of recovery, just flash a froyo bin again, then the recovery. This should solve the problem. Don't worry, I had a lot of problems like this, always solved simply reflashing the bin :(

Yes but what to do if the froyo bin flashing never ends? In the download tool I can see that 'Fastboot is successful' and 'Change mode, please wait. [Reboot now] [Do not remove usb cable'

But this is for 20 minutes now... Before i could see the standard flashing process on the phone, now it is full black. Everything was OKAY during the flashing, btw.

Do I need to reboot manuall at the end of flashing process or it is done automatically? I would bet it is automatical but I can't remember the last time how it was...

Well,DON'T REBOOT OR TRY TO TURN ON your phone. This will surely brick it forever. In these situations,if I don't get wrong, you have to remove the USB cable for a while and reinsert it. But I'm not sure. To avoid permanently damaging your phone, open a new thread and ask for help. I hope this is useful :(

Dario

EDIT: Reboot is automatic ;)

It is the holiday season, let them enjoy some time with the family and relax. I am sure they all have earned it.

+1 . Let the devs have a holiday, all of us are hard working people who need this break to spend time with family and friends.

ALSO, I think that LCR should really consider going AOSP with 2.3 . That would be great!!!

Well, I almost bricked my phone yesterday evening but finally it looks to be ok. (Thanks Dario) :(

But still have issues, actually only one important:

After flashing LCRF 1.0 with patch 1.1.2 and malez recovery 0.6.1 I have a permanent force close for 'process.android.acore'. My SD was formatted before, I have flashed the latest bin (Acer_LiquidE_4.504b.00_EMEA-GEN1_05.01.05) with the download tool (during this I also had a problem, when it was finished the phone was frozen during the final reboot. But then I removed battery and could switch it on and it worked normally).

Additional issues: reboot does not work (or just once out of 5 try). I have done a factory reset, during the first boot it has rebooted automatically after choosing language and typing in my PIN code.

What the hell is going on here...

Anyone with similar problems? Or any idea?

Ok, in the meantime I'm trying to do whatever I can to make my phone working properly again. Some issues solved, others come... I just don't want to delete the post to have it for history, maybe somebody will see same things happen.

Thanks.

In which way?

I'm in the same situation (Acer Download tool say me "Change mode, please wait [reboot now]", but nothing appens after 30 minutes) I have unplagged and re-plugged usb whithout any results.

What I have to do?

Sorry, for OT, but I ask because you have solved here.

Many Thanks!!

EDIT: Battery removal (I know, it's dangerous) solved: my liquid boot ok!

Good to hear! :(

Well, after about also 30 mins I did the same and it solved the problem as well. After more than 24 hours it is still alive, without strange issues.

I really like this LCR-F rom.

I'm wondering how to update easily the built-in applications, market does not offer the updates automatically (as it did alwas before). Any idea on this? Should I search this apps one by one on the market?

I hope this on is not OFF anymore! ;)

The application "aTrackDog" will search the updates for you.

I do not recommend using aTrackDog, as it can screw up should an app have any beta versions that are not available from the marketplace. Instead, I use AppBrain, as it not only provides a web interface for browsing the market, but also detects outdated apps.

Thanks for this comment. Actually I have checked aTrackdog and found some ratings not so satisfactory. I also have AppBrain but I never used for this purpose, I just have installed after my latest upgrade some days ago. It looks perfect for this issue as well. Thanks again.
