Not even that helped...I first tried the Official UK 2.1 then CM6 but didn't work so I tried the Dec update then Tre 2.1 and then CM6 but still no market app. I really do not know what to do now...

try the tiny gapps package. worked for me.

That is the one I was trying in the first place...I have now found a different package so I'll try that one. I was able to run Android Commander and I installed the new market app but it doesn't show anyway even though it works with the ES file explorer

EDIT: Sorry my bad I was't using the tiny version but even after trying the correct one it doesn't work

EDIT 2: Finally after trying for a long time I managed to get it done...thanks for the help

I replaced Tom`s boot.img with the one flibble provided (oc, swp, ext3) i think this is not the right way of doing it but i have overclock now just i dont know how to check for swap. I made an 64Mb partition for swap but when doing cat proc/swaps it shows nothing is mounted, doing free shows Swap but its all zeroes. Do we need swap now with compcache enabled?Another thing also, a question to our devs, do we have a way of hardware accelerated desktop? Or some arm6 optimizations from hero?

Nah that's not the rignt way of doing it as you will have the wrong kernel & ramdisk. Froyo a2sd should no longer work for you too if you flashed the old boot.img?

Try this boot.img, I've been using it since yesterday. It would be interesting to hear if it is different to the stock kernel as I haven't really tried it, & am currently considering going back to 0.2 as 0.3 is feeling sluggish...

Do a nand backup before trying this!

It's also possible this causes reboot problems when enabling compcache!

It's the kernel built using Tom's config but with overclock. He added ext3 as a seperate module when building but I couldn't locate it in the rom so not sure if was added or not? But that said ext3 partitions will work (I'm using one) but it might just be running as ext2 if that makes sense lol

Which is quite enough to use the old s2sd.

Just connect the phone to pc.

And via terminal type this:

busybox cp -r /data/app/ /sd-ext/app/

buysbox rm -r /data/app/

busybox ln -s /sd-ext/app /data/app

and reboot at the end.

Use the same command if you want to move the dalvik-cache to /sd-ext/

Well the one and only one reason why it is Sluggish is the compcache.

To gain the performance tom just have to ad backing swap, and overclock.

Or if he hate overclock this much at least the backing swap.

or just disable the compcache.

otherways this will lead to overloading the cpu each fiew seconds.

And this translated shoud mean Sluggish.

Oh yah - Anyone else getting random shutdowns? I've heard of reboots but not shutdowns. Is it maybe a temperature thing? My dads old HTC S620 shutdown when it got too warm. Although I don't know about coldness. My phone is always cold.

Swap & oc are enabled, if your refering to darktremor as old a2sd then I'm not sure. I've never used DT a2sd, I've always just used Paul's init scripts but unfortunately they no longer work with cm6. So since cm6-0.2 I've been using FroYo apps2sdext
