Guest totiadrenalin Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Yesterday I had the same issue. Not today and I haven't changed anything. I think it was something related to the Market itself. Petz The problem seams to be with the google servers. Because It happend twice for me. Months ago. Wit the eclair FLB mod.
Guest petz20099 Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 I edit everything in nano. It hasn't caused any problems yet. My advise is don't use vi (I mean why would you). Because I use at work in HPUX and I quite oblidge to....unfortunately. Anyway the other init* files don't show the ^M at the end of lines. How to repack the IMG files? Petz
Guest totiadrenalin Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 (edited) Well since my previews post with how to enable swap partition with a script has gone? I Won't boring you anymore. Edited October 24, 2010 by totiadrenalin
Guest harrise Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Tried to install cm6 (from 1.7) but after data wipe and install from zip, on boot i get just force closes and black screen. Any solution for that?
Guest totiadrenalin Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Here is once again the script. But since I'm not at home I wrote the script in notepad. But you will have to rewrite it in some Linux editor. And then connect to pc and via adb: adb remount adb push /path_to-06swap /system/etc/init.d/06swap adb shell chmod 777 /system/etc/init.d/06swap reboot That's it. I truly Hope that this post won't be deleted. I just want to help you guys. Best regards TOTI06swap.txt
Guest igor_anta Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 But I strongly sugest to use swappiness 60 Because only when the swap partition is used then the applications will stay in background when you press the red button. For that just ad this line at the end of the 06swap script: After the last fi; echo 60 > /proc/sys/vm/swappiness: Wish you the best Guys. Is the new Blue theme ready? And I wish that even more themes will be ready for the new CM6 froyo for pulse. I can upload my script now, But without any working theme you will not be able to test it. Best regards TOTI The theme is finished and uploaded :P BTW can you, or anyone, pull the newest version of AppBrain and FastWebInstaller and upload them here? Cheers!
Guest totiadrenalin Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 (edited) Sorry. Ok then. Tomorrow you will first get the script for tests. Edited October 24, 2010 by totiadrenalin
Guest scoobydoo99 Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Anyone able to help me with my questions? I'm looking to upgrade from FLB 1.7 to CM6 0.3, I've a couple of questions regards the instructions. Step 4, reboot into recovery - can I now do this direct from the clockworkmod application? Step 9, how do I wipe/data? Instructions These instruction are only for release 0.3 and later. For earlier releases you must use fastboot. 1. Install a customised recovery image if you haven't already. AmonRa or Clockwork (I have only tested with Clockwork). 2. Download both the rom zip file and the gapps zip file. 3. Copy both zip files to your sd card. This can be done my removing the sd card and putting it into a pc, or mounting it while it is in the phone, or using 'adb push <file> /sdcard/'. 4. Reboot into recovery. 5. Make a nandroid backup so you can revert if necessary. 6. Install first the rom using the install update from sd card option. 8. Next install GApps the same way. 9. If you were not previously using a CyanogenMod rom you MUST wipe /data/. 10. Reboot.

Guest scoobydoo99 Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Whats your question? From the instructions on post 3 of this thread (copied into my thread above) Step 4, reboot into recovery - can I now do this direct from the clockworkmod application? Step 9, how do I wipe/data?

Step 9, how do I wipe/data? Clockwork is recovery. Wipe/data - There should be a option inside from clockword saying, Wipe/Data. Do that. done. Hope this helps.

Hope this helps. Is it wipe data after installing the rom and gapps? That's what the instructions suggest. I know that clockworkmod is recovery - but all other reboots into recovery have been from a cold start by pressing a combination of buttons. With clockworkmod, do I just trigger the reboot from within the application? Thanks

Thanks Im not sure, i havent installed CM6 But no, Clockwork is recovery its self, it overwrites the original recovery, So you press the combination of buttons to get into clockwork Ps. i dont think the Wipe/Data comes after as you would of installed it, then done a wipe/data, then you would of deleted it again. Pointless.
Guest Richard_Arkless Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 im thinking of installing this rom, can someone give me a quick run through on what things I need to flash after I have flashed the cm6 rom Either this or can someone please give an indication on whether all these things will be in the next version of this rom
Guest Philippe Demartin Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Ok , flashed on a U8220-6 latino American, every thing run smooth, but no 3g 2g or Edge, no data connection at all, the APN folder is empty :P I've tried to flash it over different 2.1 base: from Swiss, Hungarian and at the end Venezuelan (who normally give me the right firmware for the 1900 3g) but no luck:( Somebody have any idea ? Thank's to the team for the nice work, really appreciate. Nobody to help me on that issue :D Without data connection, when not in range on my wifi, I will be forced to go back to FLB 2.1

Trying to understand why I don't have it. Because you flashed the big gapps, there is no space in system for all the apps included so Market never installed. Find gapps-tiny and flash that. Cheers!
