Guest peelie Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 (edited) Well guys. The Update is ready. Tested and working. So now. Fixes: ---------------------------------------------------- Apps: Working Gallery3D.apk Huawei sync. TouchPal.apk ----------------------------------------------------- CPU freq set to 691MhZ. CPU Up Threshold set to 40% CPU Powersave Bias set to 150 ------------------------------------------------------ SWAP: Compcache + Linux Swap Swappiness set to 45 Swapon swap partition /dev/block/mmcblk0p3 ------------------------------------------------------- Added some lib files needed for Huawei sync app and TouchPal app ------------------------------------------------------- Also the terminal fix from FLIBBLE ------------------------------------------------------- Аutomatically odexing the system apps and framework. This will save up to 20MB in your /data/ - Internal storage ------------------------------------------------------- How to! First Download prepare_update-signed.zip Paste to the root directory of your sdcard root direcotiry Via recovery flash it. Reboot. After the phone boots up. Download CM6_Minor_Update-signed.zip Do the same as with prepare_update-signed.zip The first boot will take longer, until all of the apps are odexed. It's Getting to late here. I'm going to bad. So tomorrow I'll start a new thread for all new minor updates for CM6 froyo port for Pulse. EDIT: I forgot to mention that changing the cpu configuration will resoult with better CPU respond + longer battery life. Best Regards TOTI this is with the 0.3 rom already installed i assume? also people who have 'updated' from 0.2 rom could theyexplain the steps they did to keep their exsiting data and apps? and for keeping a2sd? Guest Krinyo Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Is there anything to undo this and go back to the "all in memory" as it was in the beginning? in terminal: su a2sd lowmem-default That's it.
Guest Krinyo Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 when I run su a2sd check I got [x] ext partition found, but not mounted. you may .... the partition is EXT3, any idea? Reformat as EXT2 under Linux. :)
Guest Theme Ishere Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 (edited) in terminal: su a2sd lowmem-default That's it. Do I have to do anything else afterwards? Because I tried that already to no avail. I still got around 40MB free ram left, but multitasking is nearly non-existing. Update: Thanks again Krinyo. It worked after the second reboot and deleting the DAlvik Cache (even though that may have been a coincidence and it would have worked after the second reboot anyway). Finally CoPilot stays in memory and doesn't have to reload all the time. CHeers! Edited November 2, 2010 by Theme Ishere

Everything will work, but somehow there is syntax error in the update-script. So for now I need to change something. Sorry. Give me some hour.
Guest bbevan Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Can anyone tell me if Bluetooth Voice Dialing works with this ROM? i.e Car/Headset syncs with Phone, press a button on Dash/Headset, speak the name and the phone dials it? I know it was supposed to be implemented in Froyo, but not sure if it was dependant on the .32 Kernel Really miss this from my old Nokia. Now you guys have got DTa2sd working, if this also works I'm definitely moving over. Keep up the good work.

Well. do not wype data. connect to pc via adb in recovery: adb shell mount data rm -r /data/data/ rm -r /dalvik-cache this will act like system restore. That's it. or if you are using clockworkmod recovery? go to partitions format data and then install the new cm6 froy o rom zip. that's it. yo u will keep the apps on the ext partition. I you wan't to use the CM6MinorUpdates.zip? well you will have to open the zip and rewrite the update-script. Somehow there is syntax error in that file.
Guest Andre Ribeiro Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 I don´t know if this is the right place to put this thread bur I think so... I´ve installed this ROM and I really love it. Just a few issues. Sometimes ratation of the screen from protrait to landscape stops working and then I have to reboot. But what really I'm really having trouble is with MMS. I can´t send or receive them. When I send them Just get a circle (handcent sms) like if is sending it but never does. I've the correct configurations and I don´t even get anny error. When I receive them I order to download it and the same thing happens. No error or anything else. it doesn´t even connect to my mms setings. it just stays like if data is not even trying to send anything :) Any help? Thx in advance.
Guest totiadrenalin Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 (edited) Well guys. The Update is ready. Tested and working. So now. Fixes: ---------------------------------------------------- I just have to remove the files for now. You will be able to download them on the new thread. But I don't have time enough to create the new thread now. Edited November 2, 2010 by totiadrenalin
Guest anegin Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 totiadrenalin, i flashed both zip's from your post to clean CM6.1_0.3+dta2sd no errors was shown in recovery while flashing zip's, but the CM6_Minor_Update-signed.zip was flashed very quickly, just one second. and the first boot wasn't longer. ext-partition was mounted successfully. i tryed a2sd reinstall, a2sd cachesd, a2sd reswap and all is good - apps/cache was moved to sdcard But in SetCPU i see only 528MHz max, apps wasn't odexed And as I see many files from CM6_Minor_Update-signed.zip wasn't copied to /system/ partition. Can I see anywhere a log of clockwork-recovery flashing progress?

I'll reedit everything once again. and create new thread for the updates for this rom. Don't worry . But would you please give me some space in time?
Guest Theme Ishere Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Another short Question: Is there no option to disable "Always-On Mobile Data" any more in the CyanogenMod (or 2.2 in general). I always felt that i got more out of my battery by disabling it (maybe it was just my perception rather than the truth, but anyway...).
Guest Andre Ribeiro Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 apns_configs that's the reason why. what do you mean with "apns_configs"? I've tested them and the apn are the same as all the other "TMN " users (TMN is my portuguese network)

Guest twrock Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Can someone help me out? I just started to notice that I'm missing a bunch of apps in the Market. I want to know if it is just a problem for me, or others using this rom. Here are two that are free and don't show up for me: Cardio Trainer (the basic free app) and RunKeeper. Can someone using this rom just look to see if they are in their Market? There are a bunch of other apps missing for me, but those two should suffice to answer my question. Thanks. Oh, and anyone in Taiwan who can do the same search would be most appreciated, because I'm wondering if it is a location problem.
