Guest Ellia Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 How to install Touchpal? I took the apk from flb 1.7 but got an error during installation. Any idea?
Guest totiadrenalin Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 I think, I've found a solution from totiadrenalin: Terminal: su cp /system/app/RomManager.apk /data/app/RomManager.apk rm /system/app/RomManager.apk reboot recovery But it doesn't work ;) Mmmh, it says "can't remove ...RomManager.apk": Read-only file system and a directory (local)/data/app seems not exitsting. And now? Is there any expert outside..? ciao. calculate via adb: adb remount
Guest Ellia Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 With the other T-Mobile ROMs there was always an icon when data is disabled. In CM the icon is missing?
Guest totiadrenalin Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 With the other T-Mobile ROMs there was always an icon when data is disabled. In CM the icon is missing? To be honest. I like it this way without that boring icon.
Guest Ellia Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 I just want to be sure that there is no traffic generated ;).
Guest totiadrenalin Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 I just want to be sure that there is no traffic generated ;). The Power control widget is working perfect. You can disable the data traffic from there, and any time you check the screen where your powercontroll widget is located you can check it. Also download the CallMeter3G application from the Market. it is free app. You can check your data transfer any time you want. And also the amount of the data.
Guest mikeb90 Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 hi ehmmm , one question... where can i find clockwork recovery file? i was ready to install the CM but i thought :"one second, where the hell is the clockwork? O_O" please help me :S PS: the installation process is the same with the Amonra one described in "The ultimate pulse owners guide", or the installation-process is different?
Guest calculate Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 I would use adb to do this. Run the following: adb remount adb shell (then, inside the shell) mv /system/app/RomManager.apk /data/app/RomManager.apk reboot recovery Thanks, but .adb remount. answers "no device found". (But .fastboot -reboot. and .fastboot -flash... works for example) I tried it again with recovery-install cm0.40 and the same result..Bootloop. Is it really a memory problem?
Guest Ellia Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) Yeah, the power control widget is much cooler than the default 2.1 one. Do you know why I can't use Touchpal? I got an error during the installation. Edit: Ok, I found the flashable answer is this thread. Edited December 3, 2010 by Ellia
Guest twrock Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 to all who need full version of Vignette App (Camera App ) Download: Vignette.20.1.apk (v2010.11-20.1) - 128.79 KB Is that a copy of the paid app? If so, I think that is not allowed. Maybe very helpful, but not allowed. (I don't have my phone at the moment, otherwise I could answer my own question.)

Just go to the market and download RomManager.apk From there you can flash the ClockWorkMod recovery without fastboot, and eve while the phone is turned on. Or extract the cm6 rom zip and copy the RomManager.apk on your sdcard And then install the app Edited December 3, 2010 by totiadrenalin

Guest calculate Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 I share the same think with you. 2,94 Euro is the price of vignette full. ;) ciao. calculate

Guest totiadrenalin Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) How can it be? flible has unlocked the hardware acceleration for the zte blade? the blade have amrv6 msm7 processor and pulse have the same processor. with exception that it processor is 600MHZ and our 528MHZ. But already overclocked. ? How can't Tom unlock the hardware acceleration on PULSE? Edited December 3, 2010 by totiadrenalin

But already overclocked. ? How can't Tom unlock the hardware acceleration on PULSE? The Blade (msm7227) has adreno200 graphics, which is better than the msm7201a's graphics. I believe hw acc is already on for the Pulse. It should be on by default, the ZTE roms have a setting in build.prop to disable it for some reason.

I asked the same thing couple of times about the hw accelerated desktop on the pulse but if you say its on by default is there a way we can check this? cheers
Guest totiadrenalin Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 I asked the same thing couple of times about the hw accelerated desktop on the pulse but if you say its on by default is there a way we can check this? cheers I guess somehow in the build.prob? I don't know? I just guess so. Or with some app? Or maybe....?!!! I hope that Tom knows how.
Guest totiadrenalin Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) I guess somehow in the build.prob? I don't know? ........... I hope that Tom knows how. FYI you can check by open the zip and going into the system folder and opening the build.prop file (its a text based file). I think the key is call debug.sf.hw={0 for off, 1 for on}. Copy paste from the zte blade forum. EDIT: To enable it just change it to: debug.sf.hw=1 Let me check this stuff! Confirmed! It is true that this will enable the hw acc on android. This means that instead of CPU now the GPU will render the GUI. In neocore from 24.5 fps now i get 26.6 fps In quadrant I from 449 to 476. Not big improvements, but a bit faster now. And the CPU is even less loaded now. I can see this in, for example, Angry Birds game. And the Asphalt 3 Game. Tom you have to include this in your next ROM. Also I thing that there is new gralloc.msm7k lib in the wild. You should include this in the rom to. This are only my suggestions. Edited December 3, 2010 by totiadrenalin
Guest Strakholet Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) Hi, tell me where to get v. 0.4 with an overclocked core. (@ 691) Help me please! Edited December 3, 2010 by Strakholet
Guest tazhearts Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 Hello, I am a newbie so please bear with me..... I have got ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.0.4 on my pulse. From there I have installed the latest Mod 6 rom "beta-0.40" and also "gapps-pulse-20101020-signed.zip". I had a real problem with the market however and my phone kept crashing / rebooting when trying to install an app. The phone downloads the app but can't seem to install it. I have however overcome this by intalling the tiny version of gapps (although this reduces the number of apps available in the market). My second problem is that my phone's memory gets used up almost straight away after installing a couple of apps. Even if I manually move them from my phone to SD card. I have tried creating a partition with ROM manager but it doesn't seem to work. What am I doing wrong? I can cope with using gapps tiny but not with my phones memory dissapearing as soon as I download a couple of apps.

Guest nitko Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 Hey TOM - how can we help with CM build? Anyway of puting source on cyanogenmod and assigning some of us to develop problematic issues? Or any other way to make this group effort?
