I have a little problem with the DSPManager app. When i turn on the EQ and i listen music at max. volume, the sound is totally messed up. At lower volume the sound is good. I don't know what cause the problem, but i think it's fixable.

why my internal memory is only 36kb free? i moved all apps to sd card, and it has 512mb ext2 and swap.. what might be the problem causing this.

im on cm6 0.4, with performance over clock flashed.

It is the dalvik-cache, that is still on the phone.

Dalvik on SD?

Dalvik on SD?

Оpen the Terminal Emulator and inside type (without the quotes)

"su" (to be granted with Superuser permision)

then

"a2sd cachesd" (dalvik cache will be moved to SD)

After this, your phone will reboot and the most of your internal storage will be free. When installing app, it will still take a little ammount from the memory. I have more then 150apps installed, and about 40-50MB free.

Yes, Darktremor's a2sd is working with CM 0.40 and it continues to work with my performance zip.

I got a new sd card and now have problems with swap. I can set the swapiness and a2sd check tells me that the partition is present. But swap isn't used by DT. A "a2sd reswap" didn't solve the problem. Any further suggestions?

A2SD reswap tells me: mkswap value to large for definied data type.

I refreshed the symlinks, but no success.

First of all.

How big is your swap partition?

And then I guess that you will get the answer your self?!

Swap is 128mb and a lot of people a running this size. I think there is a wrong symlink and the DTA2SD repair command can't repair it. Can you tell me which symlink I have to edit?

There seems to be a lot of wrong symlinks, CM can't perform a backup (mount of sd card failed, invalid argument)...How can I recreate these symlinks? I reinstalled CM from ROMManager and reflashed via fastboot without success.

Edit: It seems like repartitioning the card with amonra solved the problem.

Sometimes there's something wrong with the sdcards partition filetipes.

Well, I can't say much.

Once in a while. I had a problem with the ext partition.

And the only way I fix that problem was putting the sdcard in card reader and via the Linux partition manager re-partition the sdcard.

Even the AmonRa couldn't help me then.

I have 128mb swap partition to.

But I don't use dta2sd at all.

Symlinks?

You really think that the swap activation is based on symlinks?

No.

If the swap partition is correct, then you can activate the swap manually from the terminal

Type:

su

mkswap /dev/block/mmcblk0p3

swapon /dev/block/mmcblk0p3

And that's it.

You will activate your swap partition.

But I repeat, I really think that there is a problem with the partitions filetypes.

Best regards

Do you have A2SD installed? If not you have to flash this zip from recovery (no wipe).

64 MB is a good value for Class 2-4 cards, for Class 6 128 MB is probably better.

Bigger is best.

But only with higher class sdcard

for example Class6 or higher.

Because it'll cache as much as possible apps in the swap.

That means as much as possible free RAM memory when you want to multitasking.

But I guess that froyo can stand as much as 256MB swap partition.

And if you have high class sdcard.

My recommendation for swappiness is 60%

That's the best value.

For me.

I know that anybody on this forum can demand me, but that's the best solution for me.
