Guest Al Hassaf911 Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 (edited) Are you using the built-in A2SD or DT's A2SD (the one where you create an ext2 partition on your sd card)? I'm using this version (CyanogenMod 6 Puerto pulse, the current version: v0.4 [December 1, 2010]) and enable CM to move the application set to SD. And moved the applications, but I still continue to leave the message. I read somewhere that cache memory is consuming and I would have to move it to the SD too, is it really? How can I fix it? Regards. Edited February 13, 2011 by Al Hassaf911
Guest laznjak Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Hello everybody. I got tired of my v1.5 Pulse so I installed CM6 from the first post. From "About Phone" it says CyanogenMod-6.1.0-RC2-Pulse. It's working allright for now. Google apps, market, programs to sd etc.. Only thing that really bothers me is the clock. I used automatic network provided values or manualy set but the clock sometimes changes to wrong time display. Sometimes it is behind few minutes and sometimes it's behind an hour or so. And sometimes it's back to normal. Is there any solution to this because I really depend on my Pulse clock and I can't trust it now. Thanks guys!
Guest FROST-MSL Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Hello! This ROM is fantastic, I really like it. I only wanted to know that is it possible to install somehow the new market? Because I tried to but it says that The Installation was unsucssesful. Thanks.

Guest Shahar Or Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Dear Friends, There's been a suggestion from someone at the CyanogenMod blog to make this port official. Notice the original blog post. Love, Shahar

Guest machavez84 Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 Is there a new version of the port comming?
Guest Ellia Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 I read somewhere that anybody mentioned that Tom want to release a new version in the next days. Let us hope, that he will .
Guest InstantWater Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 I've flashed cyanogenmod 0.40, and it has SuperUser app in the menu, but when I type 'su' to terminal it says: 'Permission denied' instead of request Superuser permission. What should I do? Thanks in advance.

What should I do? Thanks in advance. Usually when you go into a program (such as Terminal) that requires superuser access it will pop up and ask you if want to grant access to it. Check on next reboot in managed apps if superuser is running. Make sure you haven't got a program like advanced task killer killing Superuser. Could be off the mark but might be a place to start... Rich
Guest twrock Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Is there a new version of the port comming? The million dollar question! I heard a rumor that Tom was working on a CM7 port. But I have no verification that that is true. Antonio, any hope for a CM6 "final". Any purpose in trying (vs. using what we already have)?

I had problems with the clock even when used the official Huaweii 2.1 ROM. It was set to automatic, but it changed its mind and switched a few minutes back. Enough not to wake me up on time. I was waiting a day or two to see if it sets itself back to normal, but it didn't. Then I set the clock to manual. Now that I upgraded the ROM to CM6.1 it changed back to "automatic", but I hesitate to switch it back to manual again...
Guest hzf Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Thanks Tom for this! Works perfectly on RBM2 ! ! !

Antonio, any hope for a CM6 "final". Any purpose in trying (vs. using what we already have)? As I mentioned earlier in another reply, my CM6 final build has a lot of non-working things. I PM'd Tom and he told me that the problem with the SD card (not mounting) is a vold bug, and gave me instructions on how to fix it. Unfortunately, I haven't got much time to mess with ROMs. He also said to me that the other problems (wifi not working, camera, sensors, ...) should be fixed as I used the device config that he used to build his 0.40 ROM. Perhaps this weekend I can find the time to try to fix the problems). Meanwhile, 0.40 and all the derivate roms, like yours, are the best choice for our phone. If I manage to fix the problems in my CM6 final build, I'll upload an updated zip so everyone can test it out and (maybe) start using it.

I agree that even with the lack of a front facing camera, I really like the CM6.1 rom I have now. It is fast (even at 528mhz), very stable, and has a number of "gotta have" features (now that I've used them, I gotta have them). I tried out the latest stock 2.1 DE rom and was surprised to see an acore warning. I haven't seen one of those since I left 2.1 a couple of months ago! Anyway, with the fixes and performance mods the community came up with, CM6.1 really is quite a good rom. There's a part of me that believes I can be satisfied using it as-is until my contract expires next January. (But then there's that other part of me that knows I'm always wanting more.)
Guest wasabiiro Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 Question to those with CM6 on Pulse: is it fast enough to use VoIP apps like Skype, Sipdroid etc? On FLB-Mod 1.7 (Android 2.1) I often experience poor audio quality while my friends with high end phones don't have such a problem. I thought that introduction of JIT compiler in Android 2.2 might give my Pulse a chance :D Question to those who switched from FLB-Mod to CM6: did you notice big improvement? Is it worth the hassle?

Newer Android+OC Kernel+more settings = totally worth it

Newer Android+OC Kernel+more settings = totally worth it 1. False. I have a Galaxy S and Skype runs with pretty much the same faults there as it does on the pulse (stock Tmob or CM6.1) 2. True. CM6.1 shits over T-mobile's rom from a great height. Just don't expect much from the camera function.... FLB is probably better if you want to have a fully functional phone.
