Guest cobhc Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 He/She has Eclair though. edit: or is sebastian's ROM something else? It's Froyo. So I should be seeing double or more than what I'm seeing.
Guest cobhc Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Normal for Eclair. Froyo should be higher flibble, can you pm me your version of the rom that you've hacked?
Guest blackmath Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 (edited) It's Froyo. So I should be seeing double or more than what I'm seeing. You mean the one here on Modaco? It says its based on the stock orange ROM. http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...-san-francisco/ Edited October 19, 2010 by blackmath
Guest Sebastian404 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 I'm confused here. I've installed Sebastian's ROM, only thing I've done is turn on wireless, and install Quadrant, and I'm only getting 423, any ideas? And I did a complete wipe beforehand also. You mean the 2.2 build I posted in this thread, or the 2.1 build that's elsewhere?

It says its based on the stock orange ROM. http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...-san-francisco/ No. I'm running a version of Froyo that has been modded by Sebastian, and I'm trying it out. Flibblesan running a similar version got more than double what I did.
Guest cobhc Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 You mean the 2.2 build I posted in this thread, or the 2.1 build that's elsewhere? The one here. Just reinstalled again after a complete wipe, even wiped dalvik cache as well.
Guest blackmath Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 You mean the 2.2 build I posted in this thread, or the 2.1 build that's elsewhere? Ooh, post number pretty please.
Guest Sebastian404 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Ooh, post number pretty please. of 2.2 ? 106
Guest Sebastian404 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 (edited) I'm only getting 423, any ideas? I tried it and I got 444... tho I did get 7.097 on Linpack Edited October 19, 2010 by Sebastian404
Guest cobhc Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 I tried it and I got 444... tho I did get 7.097 on Linpack I think there's something up with your rom then, as flibble gets a lot higher result and so did Stephen.

This is just a quick and dirty rebuild of the image.
Guest cobhc Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 knowing what those two guys are like, they probably have turned on HW acceleration. This is just a quick and dirty rebuild of the image. Ok, well flibble has PM'd me his version, so I'm going to try that and report back.
Guest sorrowuk Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 So this chinese rom is a leaked debug build ? We haven't got a retail one ? We should get someone from china to dump there retail 2.2 then :P . May have some bug fixes/changes.
Guest cobhc Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 Excuse my ignorance here, but will it take some major recoding to get all the google apps working, like the market and such, and the default android icons/apps?
Guest sorrowuk Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 Excuse my ignorance here, but will it take some major recoding to get all the google apps working, like the market and such, and the default android icons/apps? No the main thing is getting the phone part working. That will be harder

Guest Sebastian404 Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 I tried Quadrant and I got 444 tho I did get 7.097 on Linpack reverted back to the de-orangeated ROM, and I get Quadrant: 381 Linpack: 3.888 So still an improvement. Did I ever mention I hate this whole Benchmarking thing? its a pointless dick waving contest, specaily when it comes to phones, a faster CPU wont get your pizza ordered any faster...
Guest Sebastian404 Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 Ok, well flibble has PM'd me his version, so I'm going to try that and report back. any better for you?
Guest Rem1x Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 Oh god this is good. Even the live wallpapers are perfect. Every thing works sans radio. Wifi is fine, pinch to zoom is fine, yaadadada. Wow.
Guest cobhc Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 any better for you? Yep, 810 on my first run of quadrant.

Guest tabor56 Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 so when radio is fixed it will be ready to go?
Guest cobhc Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 so when radio is fixed it will be ready to go? I'd say so pretty much, though the online google apps that are installed won't connect/sync properly either. Apart from that it seems pretty damn good to me.

Guest Rem1x Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 Just bumped the heap size to 32mb and turned hw acceleration on.. Phew. Amazing.
