Seriously mate, the difference in responsiveness is negligible when you consider the protection a screen cover will offer. That + sock = win.

On another note, for anyone still debating whether to get the sticker that flibblesan has mentioned and snapped in this thread, I just recieved mine in black - from the same seller - and thought I'd show off the alternative:

The colour is good, although if anything I think it's very slightly brighter than the official Android green, but let's not split hairs.

can anyone recommend a good rubber / silcon case?

I bought the Nokia E71 transparent black jelly case for £1.99 inc postage. It was delivered the very next day. It fits perfectly but the hole for the micro USB port doesn't quite line up perfectly - it's about 2mm out. But because it's a rubber case I simply push the USB connector down slightly to stretch the case as I insert it. After doing it a couple of times it's a piece of cake and not a problem at all.

The holes for the volume buttons are on the wrong side, but they are still 100% operational, not usability problem at all.

The 3 buttons at the bottom of the phone are slightly covered up by the case, but they are still accessible and work with each press.

The power button at the top is covered by the case but doesn't impede its operation. Although if the case is too tight when you first fit it then it will turn your phone on/off unexpectedly. A bit of pushing around of the phone inside the case seemed to fix it.

It provides no protection for the screen but the point of this case is to protect the phone from nasty drops while giving instant access to the touchscreen without any lids, flaps, or transparent plastic windows. Overall I'll give it 8/10.

I'm about the same. Stuck the black one on then realised there was a tiny bit of the orange logo showing. So ripped it off and threw it away. Need to order another now :D

Actually I think the microphone is exposed because there is an opening for the string handle thing that you can attach to the E71 if you want. Can anyone confirm whether the little hole on the bottom left is the microphone?

If that is the microphone then it is where the power socket is on the E71, the lanyard attachment is further round the casing to the left.

I've just remember what those "string handle things" are called.... wrist straps!

So yeah the E71 case has an opening for the wrist strap connector in the bottom left where it seems that the SF microphone is conveniently located. Why they put the opening on the back and not the front where your mouth is, I have no idea!

I've got this on order and it does say it has a magnetic flap. My current case is a sideways one with two small magnets to hold the cover - doesn't appear to have upset the phone so far.

just picked up my SF yesterday, been reading about to see what to do case wise. ended up opting for a cheeky del boy phone sock which I think looks cracking...will post up some pics when it arrives to let you know what its like, fingers crossed it will cover the entire phone :)

Also I'd like to use this opportunity to issue a word of warning regarding "Black Leather Case Cover Pouch Orange fit San Francisco" from "1smltd".

I just bought two of them (stupid me!) and this is what I received:

I don't think it requires further comments... eBay doesn't even allow to leave negative feedback earlier than 7 days after the auction... :)

If someone can recommend a proper fitting case, that would be appreciated.

Hi raph84, I bought the same case and although it looks big outside the case, it fits perfectly...

If I take a picture to mine, the proportions are exactly the same has yours, but the SF fits just right
