One thing to watch out for on one like this is...

I spent ages trying to figure out why, on my phone the compass was pointing North, but, the other half's was pointing West, even though they were pointing in the same direction. Cue an hour wasted recalibrating, rebooting, reflashing.... just to realise it was the magnetic catch sending the internal compass haywire!

Also plays hell with sat nav and can also wipe data from sd card. Overcame the problem by removing the magnets through a small hole made with a sharp knife. I then super-glued velcro to it as an alternative.

Based on user experience is it better to buy a sock and not a leather or textile pouch? Did the red texture only appear at leather and textile pouches? B)

Are the holes at the back for the camera in the right place?

Yes

Really like the case, looks smart and gives good protection.

But.. the magnet in the catch does upset the compass.

On skymap the moon always seems to be in the wrong place ;-)

I've seen the nokia E7x casaes, the camera hole might be in right place but the other holes aren't...and it would be difficult to cut through the hard plastic casing on the sides...

I find socks girlie too, but I don't want to damage my sanfran so fast from a leather or textile pouch :) . I don't like silicon or flip-flap cases so the only alternative remains a sock :) Personally I would like a leather pouch like the one for the HTC Desire, can anyone confirm that the red texture appears from this kind of leather pouches? Thanks. B)

I'm using one of these and my phone casing still looks new.

A tip for hungarians (from Budapest):

You can buy a nice leather pouch by the chinese guy at the Blaha Lujza square underpass. (There are 3 GSM stores, be careful)

Good-looking, has a pull-out thingy, and it costs only 800 HUF.

Hi,noobie here.

Does anyone think this looks ok?

androidcase.jpg

I've ordered two, $10.50 delivered from the states.

hoping the green android covers the orange logo. Not sure about the andriod going up the back, thats why I've ordered 2. I'll see what it looks like and if I don't like it, I'll just use the green andriod bit.

Great site by the way. Can see i'm going to be busy when I get my phone this week!

Got one of THESE from Amazon. Fit's perfectly, decent quality. You can even charge it with the phone fully in the case, due to the placement on the micro USB port :P

That looks good - does the phone fit in there snugly? If you turn it upside down, does it fall out, or do you need to pull it out?

Fits nicely but not snug and slides out. I kind of like it that way though.

Ouch.

Leather pouch leaves visible marks on the back of my phone.

http://twitpic.com/3baqys

It's he rectangle on the middle (that's where the pull-out thingy goes under the "leather" and shows up again), and the spot on the left bottom.

I'm afraid it's just the start.

Did anyone else encounter this too?

Ahem... I've just got one of... ahem... these cases. It's... err... white, but I like it. ;) I'm a fan of the book style cases and I've got my iPod touch in a black one [err... so that's your explanation for the white, then]. The SanFran fits snuggly with the Menu button showing in the cutaway at the bottom and the two other buttons pressable through the holder on either side. At the top is a cutaway and you can manoeuvre the SanFran so that either "San Francisco" shows through or the little speaker grill, or a bit of both in the 'ideal' position for seeing max screen. Top power button is pressable through the holder. Rear cutaway is in the wrong place for the camera, but not by much so you could enlarge it if you have the right tools, skills and patience. Side volume buttons pressable through the bit of holder on the side. Headphone socket accessible at the top, but close to the holder. USB port is on the open side of the holder so easily accessible when the case is open, and I imagine you could make a hole for it in the side of the case if really wanted to. Importantly, the case is closed using a normal popper, not a magnetic catch.

Received the stickers yesterday.

Fitted just the android to the wifes phone.......

DSCF5021.jpg

Fitted the full sticker to mine........

DSCF5019.jpg

Not sure which I prefer.

The android covers the orange logo quite well. You can still see a bit of orange if you look closely, but its not really noticeable.

Got the stickers from here http://www.grfxpstore.com/index . Cost about £6 delivered from the States.
