Guest Echo30 Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 (edited) I've run across another site that seems to have a massive library of widgets for the Bada platform. Some of them might work, I just found it and have yet to try any. Bada Widgets Site _________________________________________________________________ Browsing other forums I've come across a couple widgets that will work on our phones. All so far come from the Samsung Wave forum. You have to register (I don't know how to attach here), but it seriously takes a second and you don't need to confirm with an email, once you register you are just logged in. Confirmed working: Minimalist Sleek Digital Clock - Samsung Wave forum -looks pretty sweet -doesn't take up much room, leaves room for other stuff Nice digital clock - Samsung Wave forum ***the one called WaveSemi_Eng.wgt -the agenda widget in that thread will show up, but won't interface with the wm calendar so it won't show appointments -if anyone figure out how, I'll love them forever HTC Clock - Samsung Wave forum -this comes in a zip file and has about 10 colours to choose from -only thing is they are all called the same, so to change colours you must delete them from widgetplus, then reinstall the colour you want Sort of working: HTC Clock with AccuWeather - Samsung Wave forum -the clock and date will show, the clock will flip -the weather will not work -whenever you slide back to the widgetplus page it's on, an error will come up "network error - retry or cancel". Kind of a pain, but if you don't mind it, it's a nice looking clock -again, if anyone can get these to work, I will love you forever If you're not aware how to edit widgets: -copy to PC desktop -make sure "hide file extensions for all known filetypes" is unchecked -rename the widget to "*.zip" -it is now a zip file and can be edited I just have zero knowledge of how to do it or I would work on it myself There are a few pages in the forum I linked that you can look through, most don't work, but are neat to try. To install them, make sure to use "My Files" (the Samsung file explorer), navigate to the folder they are in, and just select it. It will install at that point. If anyone finds more that work/can come up with fixes for non-working ones, I'll edit them in here ___________________________________ I also ran across this handy guide to all things widgets. Sort of a primer/FAQ. Good read, I'm moving soon so I don't really have time, but I know I'll be looking into it: How to create Bada widgets Edited December 5, 2010 by Echo30
