Guest Simon O Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Pulse threads will die down somewhat because a lot of the issues with the original Pulse have been fixed or worked around. I agree with this. When I first started FLB-Mod I would see many new posts in the forum every day with a large number of these being problems. As the mod as evolved people are happier with a more stable ROM and the problems are less and less now. Actually I do visit the forum every day to see if any bugs are being reporting but so far other users have been providing the help and support which is a very good thing. With Android 2.1 we've reached the end. The system has been squished and pushed onto the Pulse against it's will and we have it co-operating as best as possible. The community should be proud that we all have managed to produce a stable system that neither T-Mobile or Huawei could manage. The next step would be Froyo. The CyanogenMOD 6 port is one of the best things ever to happen on the Pulse and I know this will mature enough to be a fully working replacement for all current roms. Pulse development isn't dead. There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes still.
Guest irvine Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 *bump* :) My Pulse lost sound again.... anyone else had this problem? Just gave it to my gf and she claims it worked after she dropped it (grr!), but a few days later the sound was gone :) Had problems with the sound before, but that was back in January or something... but then it came back after say 2 weeks :)
Guest JohnPorter Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 *bump* :D My Pulse lost sound again.... anyone else had this problem? The same thing happened to me after I dropped it a few times :D Just press hard with two fingers, one on the menu or home key and the other on the loudspeaker (squishing the phone) and it will work again, physical force always helps with cheap hardware :D
Guest igor_anta Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Calm down; I'm happy driving my Skoda, but I do know I'm driving a Skoda, and I'm not trying to burn any BMWs off the lights. I'm loving CM6, but as soon as this USB port falls off, it's a piece of junk again. Well if you tune the Skoda a bit it may go nearly as fast you know :P To be honest any Android device without a USB port is bound to be replaced, that's a pretty valid point ) I agree with Flibble, Tom has an X10 for a while now and he still develops for the Pulse, so aside from a small slowdown I still expect the CM port to go on as scheduled. Cheers!
Guest Simon O Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Well if you tune the Skoda a bit it may go nearly as fast you know :D That reminds me of an old episode of Top Gear with the Lada powered by a Lotus engine! Lotus engine in a Lada = OC Kernel, swap, a2sd & custom ROM in a Pulse. :P
Guest Spikey001 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 HAha brilliant, never seen that one before!! Think i like my pulse more than a Lada tho :P

Guest TGWS Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 This Pulse thread is Completely dead
Guest Daz555 Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 This Pulse thread is Completely dead No no it's not dead, it's, it's restin'
Guest igor_anta Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 This Pulse thread is Completely dead Well Tom is working on the 2.2 for the SF so no progress here for now :P patience is a virtue though, we should stay tuned.
Guest irvine Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 This may be better in a seperate topic rather than hijacking this one! Very true John... didn't want to bother opening a new thread though. :P It's something to do with the contact on the speaker. The same thing happened to me after I dropped it a few times :D Just press hard with two fingers, one on the menu or home key and the other on the loudspeaker (squishing the phone) and it will work again, physical force always helps with cheap hardware :P Cheers igor... that worked for me before as well. Tried it last weekend too, but didn't seem to work. Will squish harder when she's back :D
Guest Daz555 Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 I threw in a perfectly valid Python quote and not one follow up. I knew this day had to come....the day when techies/geeks were so young they would no nothing of the glory that is Python. :P RIP to the good old days.
