Guest fear_factory84 Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 Don't waste your time guys.. try to buy a bluetooth handfree bundle with FM function would be more reasonable. I guess Acer got their reason not to "use" the FM of Liquid... even HTC desire, the build-in FM function is only barely usable... no quality at all. for Handfree, SE's MW600 would be a good choice, perfectly match with liquid.. and bundle with FM, crystal clear radio and music~ I have mw600 and it's really great! I don't use too much the radio fm function, but it works great and also RDS is supported (radio station name displayed). Disavantages are the volume touch bar that is not too much usable with gloves. Changing radio stations is a bit slow..
Guest zander4218 Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 @zander4218 AW-GH600A looks good to FM Radio, but where did you find this information ? Now, need a driver to enabled it. Acer_S100_Smartphone_Service_Guide
Guest dimitrisKM Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 cliq and dext seems to have the same broadcom chipset (?) as liquid, isn' it? If so, the guys in the page below managed to get the fm radio working... http://modmymobile.com/forums/403-motorola...xt-working.html Do you think that it will work to acer liquid phones? Is it worth trying? DMKfmradiolibs.zipFMRadio_2_.zip

If what they say is true, and we don't have the broadcom chip, but the azurewave, it would be useless. Anyone know for sure which chip is inside our liquids?
Guest Lens_flare Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 MIUI force close. seem that kernel support is needed.

Huh,don't consider above posts ;) If you want to be sure, just look at drivers (or kernel). You will find out that Liquid's chipset is Broadcom :)

Unfortunately, i think not :/ Xian was working on it,in fact he wrote drivers and libs, but was still workin on kernel support... IMHO I don't think we will ever get FM radio on Liquid ;)

Guest Varyag Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 Why not? Some people may appreciate a fm radio. It may also help in traffic info for some gps programs some people knew, that liquid dont have FM, so they could buy another device with fm, if they really need it.
