It's pretty easy to understand. Enter the characters from the image in to the box below it then click the green button marked Скачать.

And what can i do with this fastboot or recovery?

If your phone support fastboot. You can flash ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.0.5

With ClockworkMod Recovery, you have:

- reboot system now

- apply sdcard:update.zip

- wipe data/factory reset

- wipe cache partition

- install zip from sdcard

- backup and restore

- mounts and storage

- advanced

But i dont get it. i can do a factory reset without clockwork. and i can reboot. so updating from

sd card is the point of clockwork?

i guess that u can change the factory mode so it is like u want it when u reset and dont have all the useless apps

What does it mean "fat partition on memory card must be last"?

I think this is a translate problem. My sd card is partitioned 1st. is FAT32, 2nd. is Ext2 and that all.

hi all,

i have a question.

1. i'm cannot connect to fastboot.

My phone already display Fastboot Mode. when i'm type like this : fastboot.exe flash system system.img

so i got answer is "Waitting a device".

My Android driver already download, and yesterday when i'm upgrade to black ROM No problem.

2. for using a recovery ROM, why doing a fastboot method ?

whether to upgrade to v20_CIS not enough?

any body can help me? may be i have wrong step.

sorry my Language is poor :P

thank's

When I get the "Waitting a device". I just unplug and plug the usb cable, everything should work fine.

If you see the the fastboot logo when you enter fastboot mode (by press Volumn down + Search + Power), I think you are on black ROM from Quarkx. The v20_CIS fastboot don't have the logo, just black screen (nothing).

To use the recovery ROM, first download http://narod.ru/disk/26369218000/recovery_..._swift.img.html, and type:

fastboot.exe flash recovery ....img

regards

I got similar problems...try a factory reset and don't use APPS2SD.

It allows for a full nandroid back up.

In theory this would be fine if we had a fair few choices of ROM'S to flash through fastboot as we could save a complete image of our phone before flashing.

So, if it went wrong, you could load into recovery and restore the image as of before. It makes an EXACT copy of your system at the time, settings, everything.

Update via zip I believe is if your ROM's developer releases updates in that fashion you can install in that manner...

Install from zip is pretty straight for for installing themes..boot animations etc.

But as we only really have one ROM we can flash through fastboot...there doesn't seem to be much point in using this. I have it installed though, as I see no reason not to.

If I follow the guide in the first post successfully, I'll be on CIS 2.1 ROM right? Can I then flash any other firmware (Baltic, UK, Germany) and keep Clockworkmod and fastboot?

There's the two MBN files, There is a way you could rebuild the package with recovery for your ROM.

The only way I can see you keeping the recovery is with flashing through fastboot. KDZ doesn't do this, the only ROM you could flash to is the Black one by Quarz which I would assume keeps the clockwork still.

But if you rebuild your KDZ image then you should be able to install your ROM with fastboot at least then flash recovery or it may even enable recovery.

I'm not too sure, but I know it is possible to place those MBN's into your KDZ of your ROM, it requires taking it apart and rebuilding it (not completely) just replacing/placing those two files.

Then it may or may not enable recovery but I would think fastboot.

Have a look on that link to the original forum post, see what they are saying.

If you want to use another rom , the first , you have to extract the kdz using lgutils. Then extract the cab file . Extract the dz file with dzdecryptor . Replace the two files .Create the dz file with dzcreator , create the cab file. Create the kdz file with LG R&D test tool . Then you can flash it to your phone .After flash you will have fastboot . In fastboot mode flash the clockwork recovery to the recovery partition.

I have done it with the greek rom.
