Guest malgiff10 Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 I've installed sype but its useless as the auto space doesn't work. Can anyone help me getting auto space working? Yes I've turned it on in settings
Guest rockshu Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 any chance of getting this please? SWYPE BETA v2.15.56.14870
Guest cjb110 Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 Personally I prefer TouchPal just for its easy capital and symbol entry...hell I joined the ad-free modaco just get a froyo rom with it. Predictive text just isn't good enough, besides it takes longer to pick the predicted word than it does just to type it!
Guest imperiallight Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Smart Keyboard - has good settings
Guest cartierv Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 I haven't used the other alternatives out there yet, having only just got my SF, which is my first Android smart phone, but uh... the standard Android kb looks good. Touchpal is not as pretty but very functional especially in the last mode who's name as escapes me (Cool something) with a pretty decent predictive typing.
Guest fradleyp Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 touchpal, can change to the 12 key when pissed ;)
Guest Nick Rhodes Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Only thing new to report is that Smart Keyboard after a few weeks use is becoming better at prediction as it learns your most frequently used words. Its still behind Swiftkey, but now predicts noticeably better than htc_im or touchpal. I find its layout more user friendly than Swiftkey when needing to enter non alphabetic characters or when the predicted word is not correct.
Guest lixcab Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Touchpal 12-key setting with dictionary in portrait mode is great for one hand typing. Works exactly like T9 in the old days with physical keys.
Guest deweylewie Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Stock is best for me. The swype-style ones are inaccurate for short words and are laggy. It's easier to just go landscape and use 2 thumbs.
Guest Shadey1 Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 I've got slightly podgy fingers so swype is a god send for me, stick in landscape and i can bash out a text in seconds...full of typos mind you but i'm still getting used to it.
