I'm guessing he replaced libt99.so with one from elsewhere then resigned the apk

Just wanted to say that this build is excellent! Thank you.

I've noticed a few issues, just wondering if any one has any fixes:

1) HulloMail - Push notification do not work

2) Fancy Widget doesn't update weather based on location

I can confirm 2.2 does unlock! But revert back to other roms and now its locked again.Great if you staying with 2.2

This is interesting. We'll have to look and see what's causing the lock to be removed and see if we can make a patch which can be applied to other devices.

There's an update you can apply with Clockwork a couple of pages back.

Okay - I'm having too much trouble with Market so used Universal Androot to root the device.

Another "Bug"...

Only 2 Locales can be used en_US and zn_CN.

They are defined in /system/etc/customize/default.xml

Delete this file

reboot

and you can choose any locale you want to.

Since I am a german user i need this fix, and it should be aviable for general release.

Another Point is switching between IME´s is not working fine. I THINK it has something to do with the preinstalled "PinYinIME" which is not necessary IMHO.

I removed the PinyinIME.apk from /system/app/....

I'm not happy with the Anndroid 2.1 because it doesn't support eastern languages and fonts...So I want to try the "Alpha" froyo 2.2

My first concern is being able to go back to 2.1 afterwards, just in case...

If I do a back up of 2.1 with Clockwork can I back up to 2.1 later, I think so...can you correct me if I'm wrong?

yes, you can go back no problem.

I'm sorry if this has been covered but do I loose all my apps and contacts if I follow the install instructions? And how do I reset the phone with a backup I've made in Clockwork? Right now I'm on Modaco r3. :P

This rom is a better daily than any other for me. On all the other roms astrid task filters are broken yet work perfectly on this!

Still having ad hoc issues with calender 'force closes'. Syncing solves it temporary but then 'force closes' again. Anyone aware of a fix/update?

I had the same errors, I solved mine like this:

Install 'Startup Auditor'

run it

press menu

select disable all

select 'only disable all startup' (2nd option)

reboot phone

no more calender force closes for me

I haven't found any options to change the resolution....

Google won't synq and the eastern languages aren't being shown properly, the letters are there but words aren't readable!

Install the rom posted in the last few pages. It has those fixed.

And please read the thread before asking something which has been mentioned many many times....
