Guest x.balli.x Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 It does not let you move all apps to sd, i think they have to be written to support it on froyo. I have these moved to sd Angry birds Dropbox Rom manager Snesoid Titanium backup thanks anyone got location/gps / maps working? and please mention if you are using the rom which was uploaded first time or the one after the update
Guest Nilaya Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Stil can't use the market. Keeps saying that download was unsuccessful. FLashed it twice with Stephens firm.
Guest an0key Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 thanks anyone got location/gps / maps working? and please mention if you are using the rom which was uploaded first time or the one after the update Works fine for me
Guest tocixxx Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 thanks anyone got location/gps / maps working? and please mention if you are using the rom which was uploaded first time or the one after the update Yes i posted the fix earlier... you have to change /system/etc/gps.com and add a a-gps server...
Guest an0key Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Having issues adding my google account, and also exchange :P which limits everything else...
Guest bugeyes Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 apps2d is part of froyo itself, market is proving annoying to sort out - still suspect due to this rom base, going to see if i can build my own source next week mostlikely Aha! so this is why i'm not getting apps to go to my Ext2 partition! been faffing around for hours trying to get this to work! lol
Guest StickyGeko Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Stil can't use the market. Keeps saying that download was unsuccessful. FLashed it twice with Stephens firm. dude make sure u wipe as per stephens instructions, think i missed 1 initially, and couldnt get gmail or market working, i backtracked and did everything from wipe to reinstall and not its working
Guest Spooke Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Stil can't use the market. Keeps saying that download was unsuccessful. FLashed it twice with Stephens firm. I fixed mine by factory reseting from settings and it worked!
Guest x.balli.x Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Yes i posted the fix earlier... you have to change /system/etc/gps.com and add a a-gps server... sorry am a bit noob with this stuff. i pull the file using adb but where this file be copied i mean location of the copied file on my pc?
Guest fradleyp Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Yes i posted the fix earlier... you have to change /system/etc/gps.com and add a a-gps server... whens the beta, looks like everything has been ironed out now
Guest Nilaya Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 dude make sure u wipe as per stephens instructions, think i missed 1 initially, and couldnt get gmail or market working, i backtracked and did everything from wipe to reinstall and not its working The only thing i dont get is the partition thingy. Wiped Data/Factory Reset (Keeps saying that it couldnt find any app2sd partition) Wiped Cache Wiped Dalvik Wiped Battery thingy Installed update.zip from SD I fixed mine by factory reseting from settings and it worked! Ill try that after my 3rd installation is up and running. Thanks all!
Guest prufrock Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 What I've noticed: When using an Orange sim, I can't sign in to gmail, market, etc (even when using wifi). With my T-Mobile sim, I have no issues signing in.
Guest StickyGeko Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Hehe, got an email from Google saying welcome to Android and how to use your new Google Nexus One. It's not an N1 but I'd say that's fairly close. :P lol i got that too
Guest grogan197 Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 The only thing i dont get is the partition thingy. Wiped Data/Factory Reset (Keeps saying that it couldnt find any app2sd partition) Have you created a partition on your sd card yet? I think it's under advanced on clockwork and then go to create ex2 partition then choose the size you want.
Guest Ashenfall Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 (edited) Hmm... had the Market/GTalk problems I mentioned earlier, then I: a ) took out SD card b ) did factory reset in Privacy menu (although I'd already tried that once). c ) used the APN rather than the wireless Not sure whether any of the above did anything, but now Market is installing apps... weird. EDIT: and now I've got that email about 'my Nexus One' phone...! Edited October 23, 2010 by Ashenfall

Guest jimmy2x2x Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Nope, ill try that asap! AFAIK that doesn't work from within clockwork, you have to do it by another method, I used Gparted live cd.
Guest bugeyes Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Nope, ill try that asap! you still wont get A2sd that uses an ext2 partition.... this rom is using the froyo move to sd option that is a bit crap really as you cant move all your apps!

Guest StickyGeko Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 found a nice easy resolution to the super user problems, i used sebs r4 su add on zip, loaded it, and voila, sorted, simples, su access no problem now
Guest x.balli.x Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Should Be in the Same dir Where you starter ADB .. Be sure to do ADB remount before aushing it to the Device, thanks and now its working...... :P :D but one thing is for sure , when i gave it adb pull /system/etc/gps.conf , it said file transfered but it wasnt in the adb directory, so i had to gave it location manually...... adb pull /system/etc/gps.conf e:/zte and it worked

Because Androot doesn't for me. Can you post that zip up for me, because I think he removed it from his thread.
Guest Nilaya Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 (edited) I followed Ashenfall's trick with the SD card and such. Now market works! Haven't tried Wifi yet, just 3g. EDIT: Wifi works aswell! Thanks everyone. Edited October 23, 2010 by Nilaya
