Guest flash2004 Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 (edited) Hi, My google maps update has stuck at "installing" step since the last 2 days. There is no cancel button and the install button is also greyed out. How to resolve this ? I believe this is draining my battery as well See screenshot BTW, this photo is taken using my beloved pulse :) Edited October 31, 2010 by flash2004
Guest 900i Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 Doesn't the back button work, if not just pull the battery.
Guest flash2004 Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 I have restarted the phone a couple of times. But nothing seems to work ? Back button doesn't work as well.
Guest 900i Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 This one has me stumped, so every time you reboot and go back into market to update it just locks up and you can't back out of the operation.

Guest xeyaztian Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 Had same problem, cancel install then try it again?
Guest Stuart_f Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 I have the same problem with all of my market updates: Google Maps Google Sky Titanium Backup etc etc Nothing here cures the problem so I'm just going to wait it out.
Guest flash2004 Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 Ok. Finally googled for 1 hour and found the solution. Here it is for everybody's benefit. Go to settings -> Applications -> All and then go to market and click clear data. Do the same for Download manager as well. This sorted it out. Hope it helps others who are facing the same issue. Strange how this happens sometimes, wonder whether it would have resolved itself eventually because to think everyone has to go through the above process is ridiculous. Andy

Described Here originally - http://www.google.co.uk/support/forum/p/An...43123&hl=en with this method I have already uninstalled the app Retro Camera but that D/L bar is still there.... Go to settings -> Applications -> All and then go to market and click clear data. Do the same for Download manager as well. Go to settings -> Applications -> All ( For all I assume you mean Manage Applications) and then go to market and click clear data. Do the same for Download manager as well. Have cleared data for Download Manager but Retro Camera continues to report Installing (scratches head again) good find though...
