Guest chicarito Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 900i, with your rom is all that is rquired to install it like normal via clockwork mod? do I have to partition the sd card via gparted? thanks
Guest goatee Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 If you want to make use of A2SD, then yes, you need to partition your SD card. I would suggest you make sure it's at least a Class 2 card, because otherwise your system will slow down as it loads aps from the card. GParted is one way of partitioning, otherwise, you can use Partition Wizard which is a free Windows application. If you're nervous of doing it, watch this video tutorial using partition wizard. 900i, with your rom is all that is rquired to install it like normal via clockwork mod? do I have to partition the sd card via gparted? thanks
Guest funkimon Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 Thanks 900i just flashed your rom and working. After a week of trying to make it work I think its finally sorted.
Guest 900i Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 chicarito, yes just like goatee instructed.
Guest SamH Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 Well just flashed a version of r4 with a2sd and it works perfectly. Hardware acceleration being enabled has also transformed the gaming potential of this device. Absolutely fantastic
Guest Kthulhu Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 Yeah Matt I have just cooked a rom with apps2sd included, you can get it here if you still need it. I was having problems to install a2sd following Villainrom post and decided to install 900i rom - so far works great, thanks!
Guest Francesco89 Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 sorry I did not understand a thing. I installed the rom with a app2sd I partitioned the 2 sd to fat32 and ext2 after this you must mount the microSD terminal emulator? when I enter the terminal emulator and I try to do the mount command dev ... etc. I get this writing is normal? did it work? written: [] $ export PATH=/data/local/bin:$PATH $su # mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 / system / sd BusyBox v1.16.0 (2010-01-29 22:31:34 CET) multi-call binary. Guest Kthulhu Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 sorry I did not understand a thing. I installed the rom with a app2sd I partitioned the 2 sd to fat32 and ext2 after this you must mount the microSD terminal emulator? when I enter the terminal emulator and I try to do the mount command dev ... etc. I get this writing is normal? did it work? I am not an expert but this is what I did: 1. Made two primary partitions in your SD card (a good spped 4 SD card). First a Fat32 (were you will store all your data) and then a EXT2 (were apps willbe installed) - recomended size no bigger than 750 MB althoug some people are using 1GB. 2.Put zip file room with a2sd into Sd card. i also put my backup data (titanium,etc..). 3. Install room with clockmode rcovery and that's all. All your apps will be in the ext2 partition (check this with quick system info or similar app). you may lose some widgets and have new apps from the choosen room but you can easily back up with Titanium. Hope this help.
Guest Francesco89 Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 ose that I did what you did, but when I go to check in quick system info in A2SD tells me no information available....HELPPPPP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
Guest Francesco89 Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 I mounted the sd and quick pro system recognized me free space. But when I installed an application on the phone I continued to use the phone's memory. Furthermore, when I rebooted the phone system quick pro not recognized me as the partition and through the terminal emulator I had to again mount the sd. Why? terminal emulator through when I put the # a2sd check I wrote this report: # a2sd check [ ] Apps2SD is launching... Guest Kavern Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 Can anyone give me a hand on this ? Help Appreciated ! I have been trying to install App2SD but still no luck, i'm with a fresh clean SF. I formatted my SD (2GB) as required: 1) FAT32 - 1145.99MB - Primary 2) EXT2 - 768.74MB - Primary Then I reboot my phone and turn to Clockmode recovery, and re-flash with the update.zip from provided here. What shoould I expect to see if App2SD it is successfully installed ? I tried terminal with "a2sd check" but nothing comes up.

Guest Francesco89 Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 Once you've installed and have partitioned the apps2sd.zip sd .... put it in your phone and run it in clockwork .... go to restore and mount and mount put sd-ext. after restart the phone and install terminal emulator. start it and put these commands. # Su # Mount / dev/blobk/mmcblk0p2 / system / sd now you have mounted the sd and it works ... you app2sd space with the test app quick system info
Guest tom619 Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 does anyone know what the command is to list all the partitions on the sd card and internal space?
Guest ezablade Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 the pre-baked R4 doesn't have a2sd installed, you need to subscibe so you cook your own ROM with it in. Not unfair, the site need to get income to survive and the amount of work they do for us noobs is amazing. The app2sd zip file from Dark Tremor is know to cause problems, I tried it and gave up. The small amount to subscribe and get a perfect working a2sd rom is worth every penny.
Guest rikmaster Posted December 11, 2010 Report Posted December 11, 2010 okay, ive been on this forum a while now, but never posted. But i have to say thanks alot this thread really helped me with my a2sd problem. Cheers guys! :)
