I flashed the newly leaked BIN

Everything was fine until I tried to enter Recovery (using malez 0.61)

It froze. I tried several times, all the same.

I am going to go back to Malez's older version to see if it works (though I suspect)

At this point the Froyo ROMs are probably all minor fixes to make it more stable & efficient. I doubt linpack & quadrant scores will change much. If it's a more recent build than Oct 5th from 4.504b then it's probably still a better ROM even if one doesn't notice it from a day's use.

Well... if you don't notice it on a daily use, it's not really a better rom.

until that new app crashes in the old rom, but new one doesn't. not all changes can be seen right away.

Just updated to this build from Stock Rogers 2.1 versions. Seem nice so far but I don't like the default keyboard. Is there any way to go the previous default Acer keyboard from 2.1 build?

my hope is just to get faster in Quadrant and Linpack.... with new kernal will it be higher in quadrant or linpack?? because i notice that our phone runing on 2.2 is the slowest in quadrant result....

i used Acer_LiquidE_4.504b.00_EMEA-GEN1_05.01.05_LIGHT_MbD. I see it more than almost other rom about stable , battery. ( i test almost rom in forum ).

sorry for bad english. now I will test this rom.

Thanks, I am downloading A1-version. The recent 2.2s are very stable for daily use.

This rom out 23 september ^^ ( i see it in usb fastboot build date ).

ro.build.date=sat Oct 30 14:02:12 CST 2010. (i see /system/build.prop)

UI acer faster,smooth but i still don't like it (hope everyone clear ,clean it, McBoyDesign can do ^^! "% battery Indispensable")

Memory 51 M after kill all app.

So can anyone who has installed this take a look at line 8 of the file /system/build.prop and tell us what it says? In the previous 4.504b ROM it says:

ro.build.date=Tue Oct 5 01:38:03 CST.

Cool so it is the latest. As this one is the latest, we are going to wait yet again for a long time to get the official froyo release. Or what if liquid_user is not getting the whole picture and different testers could get different versions and Acer could really be ready soon. I really hope for the latter scenario.

This is a bin, and it's always acer tools.

How to add silent ringtones?

If I do a nandroid backup, install new bin, then perform nandroid restore, will it work? Or does this just start everything completely fresh?

In my opinion been running for more than 12hrs and it's v.good battery, speed and stability. It's dated for SAT 30th October 2010 so it is the latest and greatest.

I'm amazed that it's already rooted? How did he do that? Titanium and other apps work straight out of the box!

The only thing I've noticed is that I had 139mb free on the phone and I uninstalled all the Acer Crapware and it still reports that I've got same amount of free ram??? However the operating free mem has gone up because of less apps running.

It handles well access in shell to android.(you use it instead of DOS windows command)

And what if there's a new leak tomorrow ? ...and another one two days later ?

Note that I say this as a LCR user, so with no new kernel or baseband, a leak should bring something obviously interesting for me to flash it.
